I like going to El Tipico on Goliad Rd, the atmosphere is so nice and peaceful. The enchiladas with the chili con carne sauce on top with cheese is so good. All their food is so good. The service is very good.

Very good food, nice and small restaurant which allows more personable service.

What a quirky little place. Running errands with my MIL and needed to stop to get something to eat. We thought it was a standard little taco place so imagine my surprise that it's a steakhouse. The decor is a bit shabby but the service was excellent! Sweet tea was perfect. Never having been here we both ordered the chicken fried steak lunch special. Came with a regular house salad that was nice and crisp, served on a cold plate which is an old school detail I appreciate. The ranch dressing was fantastic - fresh, homemade and with a healthy dose of real garlic. The CFS wasn't bad but also not stellar. Baked potato was cooked to perfection and was even better with some extra ranch dressing. Old timers there were all ordering the steak so maybe this is a hidden gem I'll give a second chance. Warning, and the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars, the lady's bathroom was not so nice.

This is the first time I have dined here. First of all the tables were dirty. I had to ask my waiter to clean my table. A customer shouldn't have to ask. Then my utensils had food stuck on them. I had to get up twice until I found a fork that was not as dirty as the others. I ordered the regular lunch special with two enchiladas and a puffy taco. The food was okay, not bad but not great. Standard tex-mex food prepared better by other restaurants. I give my experience two stars only because my waiter was not rude, otherwise only one star.

Staff was attentive and friendly. Quiet atmostshoere, on the day we went, which was enjoyable to us. I got the fried chicken tenders which were larger than expected. It was a great, fresh tasting meal. The gravy with the tenders was thicker than I liked and lacked flavor. The pink Thousand Island dressing was a bit shocking to me, as I'm used to a light orange color. Overall we enjoyed our meals. I do recommend.

Been a couple of years since my wife and I ate there,so for our " close to 17th Anniversary), we decided to go back, we were not disappointed. Waiters were polite and friendly, food was excellent, if hostess had been friendlier I'd have given a 5 star rating
