Probably the best meal we have ever eaten in San Antonio. The beef was so tender and flavorful. The sauces were sublime. And the dessert crepes were the perfect ending.

Was told this place was the BEST of the BEST… 5 star experience! It was 5 star pricing with a 3 star quality. Brought a butter knife for a steak entree. Steak was over cooked. Wouldn’t go back. Paid $252 before tip for 4 ppl!!! Never again!!!

My family and I love visiting Ernesto’s, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is absolutely incredible! The service is also unmatched-they are so welcoming and attentive every single time we come in. This restaurant is a gem. I highly recommend the Crabmeat and Shrimp Veracruz and an Ernesto’s Coffee cocktail for dessert (they can make it decaf!)

The restaurant looks and smells like grandmas house. The tortilla soup was almost flavorless. It tasted of nothing but tortilla chips. My friends shrimp enchiladas were bland and the shrimp was overcooked. I had the chicken breast with the diabla/ Mexicana sauce mix. Chicken breast was tough and under salted. Sauces were okay. Overall very disappointed based on the previous reviews.

Food was bad, ceviche was bitter and the crab nachos tasted like a junior high school kid made them. Service was great, really nice guy but not with the 60$ I spent in dinner. Atmosphere was a little weird. Won’t be back.

The food was a little above average it wasn't anything special. We stopped by this place last night after dropping off my wifes family. We were exhausted after a long day at Fiesta Texas and we were hungry. So I went on Google maps to find a Mexican restaurant and this restaurant had a 4.7 review rating. So we decided to give it a try. The nachos we ordered were good the only thing I didn't care for was they turned soggy very quickly. The caldo de pollo I ordered was very delicious. What stood out about this restaurant was the customer service and the attentiveness of the owner. He was very kind and explained everything to us. I would definitely come back to this restaurant just because of the customer service. Thank you Ernesto for feeding me and my family!!!
