It was nothing short of a privilege to meet Ezio, Adriano, and Giuliano at Ezio’s Bistro. My boyfriend lived in Italy for years and always talks about how much he misses authentic Italian food, today he considers himself to have found it at Ezio’s.
We had the Pappardelle, the tortellini, spaghetti bolognese, and fillet with green peppercorn. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The pappardelle, tortellini and gnocchi we learned are all house made. For dessert we had the panna cotta, tiramisu and limoncello sponge cake, all absolutely delightful.
The ambiance is beautiful, very classy place and getting to watch Ezio in the kitchen cooking these amazing dishes was very amazing.
If you’re looking for amazing authentic Italian cuisine head over to Ezio’s Bistro. There aren’t a ton of tables and it’s a pretty intimate restaurant. The staff are all extremely kind and knowledgeable of the menu, which we were told was a rotating menu. We will 100% be returning and 10/10 recommend to anyone. Great spot for a romantic date.
I was looking for someplace new to try out, that had Italian food, and one of my neighbors suggested this little bistro. So, we decided to visit Ezio Bistro located at the corner of Huebner & Bitters roads (address 16615 Huebner Rd, SATX 78248).
I will note up front that they currently are open only for dinner.
We entered and we're promptly greeted. I will note that upon entry, I saw a nice, cozy, upscale dining experience in front of me. This is a family owned restaurant and the atmosphere speaks to the pride taken to put together everything from service to the dishes made.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but ended up having a real nice dining experience which is good for any date or family gathering.
Anyway, were seated, our server Adrianno, brought the beverage, and dinner menus and explained the specialties. I started with a Peroni because it's been a while since I had one.
We we're brought a basket of homemade bread along with some olive oil and vinegarrett already mixed. We started with a salas order and ordered a Insalata Mista and split it between us. It was refreshing and delicious.
I ordered the Tortellini al Brandy and my guest ordered the Bucatini Amatriciana. These took a few minutes to prep, and arrived within 15 - 20 or so minutes. Both dishes were tasty and very delicious.
As with any restaurant visit I decided to try their desserts. We could not decide and selected the Tiramisu and Limoncello cake. These desserts arrived and the presentation on the dishes I thought was very nice. Both desserts were very very tasty and good.
After talking with our server a few minutes, I discovered that this little gem or a restaurant has been around for 3 years.
I would highly encourage you to to enjoy the dining experience that they offer. You should plan on spending anywhere from $$ to $$$, which I think is worth the experience. The family is from the heel area of Italy and not far from where I lived for a few years, at one time.
I hope that you decide to visit, and that's your experience. This is good or better than the one I had. Enjoy and Ciao for now.
Ezio’s is San Antonio’s best kept secret and by far the best Italian food I’ve ever had in Texas. It’s just as good as the authentic Italian restaurants you can find in NYC. It’s true authentic Italian dishes cooked by a wonderful chef from Italy. I’ve tried at least 7 pasta dishes and each one has been spectacular. So glad I found this place!!
Small restaurant but excellent food and service.
The food is excellent with a menu that changes often. The owner is the chef and he is excellent. Love it.
My husband and I had a lovely experience at Ezio Bistro - the food was delicious and high quality, the atmosphere was intimate and sheek, the waitor & service were superb! Loved the open kitchen concept! We can't wait to return to try more menu items & bring our family and friends here! We had lamb loin chops, pappardelle affumicate, & chocolate cake! So delicious!!
First time to dine at Eizo Bistro SA TX. The meal was perfect. Salmon was the best properly cooked I have ever had. Daughter’s veal was exceptionally tasty. Good wine choice selected by waiter. Comfortable clean atmosphere.
BUT why the sports TV? If a TV is a must then have a scenic tour through the beautiful country of Italy. Just annoying when you look up from your plate your eye catches the movement of the TV and you are taken away to a tackle. Appreciate for a sports bar but a nice restaurant with fine dining?

This place is fine. I wouldn’t say it’s good.
It’s the kind of Italian place you think is really, really fancy when you’re a kid and your parents take you out.
As an adult, though, — for what I paid — the dishes were pretty flat, one-dimensional, and salty. There was absolutely no thought put into presentation.
Nothing unique. Nothing that would compel me to return.

My husband and I went there tonight and the penne pasta with mushrooms, peas, and a brandy sauce was amazing! Wonderful appearance and taste. Service is awesome and the atmosphere is friendly, want and well designed.

Not impressed! I got the Pappardelle Al Brandy, which was pretty much a big bowl of mac-n-cheese. Wife got the salmon dish. Way over cooked tail piece with melted butter and a spoonful of capers on top. Wine selection was not to my preferences either.

The atmosphere is lacking, but the food is the best, hands down, Italian food in town. The tiramisu is the best I’ve had!
