Have you ever looked up a location for a restaurant and still found yourself lost? I google this location and it took me to a Johhny Carinos, Italian restaurant. I called the Famous Dave's and was told that Famous Dave's was inside the Johnny Carino's restaurant. What a hunt for some BBQ? There was not one sign in which represented Famous Dave's. I had gift cards in which totals $40 and I was going to pay the difference on the total bill. I was denied using the gift cards and could only use them online orders. Okay, then I proceeded to place an order and still could not use my gift cards. I asked for assistance inside the restaurant and personnel, who took the time to help me could not achieve that task are using my gift cards. She told me that I didn't have enough on the gift cards and refused my order even after that I would cover the difference. Her frustration unable to achieve then she asked for cash and then I declined. I did not have this trouble at Las Vegas. Famous Dave's. Las Vegas was an awesome experience. This San Antonio restaurant was a huge joke and disappointment. If, you choose this Famous Dave's restaurant It's inside Johhny Carinos. I'll take my business to 2M BBQ on WW White rd.

I enjoyed my first meal from Famous Dave's. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted great! The cheesecake was amazing. The chicken and brisket were delicious. The lemonade was refreshing. The baked beans were not what I'm used to but they tasted great. The cornbread muffin was absolutely perfect. The salad was so fresh. I appreciate the fact that the food wasn't overly seasoned. The portions were so much that I couldn't eat it all. I will eat the remaining portions for a late night snack. Thanks! I will definitely order again.

Dave's BBQ does not season their food! No salt or pepper. No seasoning in the beans, slaw, or potato salad. Dave's meat doesn't have any taste! You have to season your food Dave! And who the hell puts bell peppers in their potato salad?

Did not dine in because I was told at least 4 times it was TO GO ONLY.HOW DO YOUR customers know you are located in Johnny Carino's??NO SINAGE ALSO NO NOTED ON THE INTERNETDROVE 100 MILES TO TRY THIS SANDWICH AND COULD NOT GET ANY INFO AND THE NO one seemed to be able to talk or take orders so I left EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITHOUT PURCHASING ANYTHING.Surely if depending on Johnny Carino'sCustomers the business will die.

Ordered my food to pick up. Once I got home I opened my meal to find I didn't not get my wings along with the rib & wing combo. Tried to call the place to let them know. No answer but they were closing in like 15 minutes. Went back next morning with my receipt and a picture of my meal and the worker told me I should have checked my food before I left... Is customer service not a thing anymore? How about you do you job and make sure my meal is correct before I even get it. Terrible and rude service, won't be back.

Recently ordered from here. I purchased through a delivery service. When I received my food it was barely warm. One of the sides I chose was the corn on the cob. It was seriously ice cold. I will never order from here again!

I called in a order for 3 brisket sandwiches they were on special for $5 we wanted to try them. They told us the order would be thirty minutes. We placed the order at 5:12 pm got there at 5:45 pm they said it would be another 15 minutes 20 minutes later my husband came out with the sandwiches. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Victoria she said the had ran out of brisket, thinking that if that were the case our sandwiches would be fresh and hot but nope the brisket was cold , the bun was cold. What a big disappointment. We love Carrinos but we won't be back to either place. -1. Worse thing was they were not even busy counted 6 cars in the parking lot.

Let me start by saying, I was seriously looking forward to eating here. I have eating at Famous Daves BBQ in North Dakota several times and was my place to go when ever visiting so when I found out one was in in San Antonio, I was excited.Bottom line - HORRIBLE!!! And I can’t stress that enough.Service - was great. Staff very friendly so on that end great jobFood - ribs were burnt and when I say burnt I mean burnt, brisket had a funny chemical taste, same as the beans. Fries were cold, potato salad was ok. The only good thing was the cornbread.I called and spoke to the manager and expressed my, one, disbelief that it was so bad but two, how are you going to serve food like this to your customers. I asked her who does a quality check of your food? How can you allow customers to pay good money for a meal only to see that it was literally burnt and uneditable. The manager told me that she was going to have thedistrict manager call me but of course no call.With the price of everything now days, do your self a huge favor and DON’T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ON THIS PLACE. HORRIBLE!Fooled me once…never again

I want to start off by saying the staff is friendly and helpful. I spoke with the GM Craig who knew of the issue I was having and indicated he had let corporate know.The “issue”: if you have a gift card you can ONLY use it online and you can NOT use/couple it with any other form of payment. You essentially pay for a gift card that is almost impossible to use. Corporate needs to get this issue figured out. Buyer beware.

Honestly, we're here for an Air Force graduation and was grabbing food for our airman. I ordered the food within a reasonable timeframe, I don't like to rush anyone and understand how hard it is in the "food and bev" industry. The reviews talk about ordering last minute and it not being ready on time, but seriously when the food is 40 mins past the expected time of completion, it's hard to give them the credit it deserves. It wasn't busy, the parking lot was half empty, the ambiance was beautiful, the food was actually stunning if it was warm enough...so if you're fine with a wait then i'd go right ahead.
