I just want to say that these empanadas are the best ? I tried beef and potato, beef and cheese, and chicken spinach and cheese plus a side of fries but they have side salads too. Yum ? A must try and the service is excellent. I picked up to go and luckily they hadn't ran out yet i hear sometimes they do. Really want to try a dulce de leche next time ?

Fresh and delicious! I had the spinach and cheese also the spicy chicken. My husband got the spicy beef also beef and potato. They we all good! They came with a regular and spicy chimichurri. We also got a few dessert empanadas to go with out late night coffee? those hit the spot.

Tried them because of Diners Drive-ins and Dives - the empanadas are delicious and so full of meat!!! Chimichurri sauce is fresh and spicy! Definitely will go back when I'm back in San Antonio!

The empanadas were medium size,not fat.I paid $22 and I was still hungry.They need to serve beans or rice or a small salid.This lunch was a $10 meal.Not worth the money.I dined in.

The empanadas are delicious. They run about 5 bucks each. I tried the beef and potatoes. Also tried the chorizo and egg one. The choripan was the small sausage sandwich. That was 10 bucks. It gets busy quickly and not a lot of parking. The place is small with just a few tables. I would recommend going early or ordering online. Good luck! If you walk in and order to go, you will be waiting a while.

I worked with Fat Tummy for an event earlier this month. Despite doing all of our planning remotely (since I am not based in San Antonio), Norah was so accommodating and flexible with my needs for our catering order. She helped advise on the right quantities and was mindful of a few allergies we had. Thanks to her prompt service and delicious food, our guests were well fed in time to work a long volunteer shift! Fat Tummy Empanadas are the best empanadas I've ever tried; no matter the flavor you choose, they're all delicious. I've tried the beef, spicy beef, pepperoni, humita, spicy shredded chicken, spinach and cheese, guava and dulce de leche. Pair it with their regular or spicy chimichurri and fall in love. Take them to go and bake at home or get them fully cooked. The crust is marked with a letter to allow you to distinguish between flavors. Don't leave San Antonio without trying these!

Came in today and ordered 3 empanadas- 2 to sit in and 1 to go. All 3 fresh and amazing flavors. The lady taking the order was very friendly. I will be back to try out the rest of the combinations! Highly recommend people to try this place
