This place is no longer the original “Festejo†they are still in the process of changing the sign outside. It is now called “Machu Pichu†Peruvian Grill. It's now under completely different owners. The food is just about the same on the menu but tastes ENTIRELY different. Festejo had a signature green sauce that I used to crave but the new owners make it completely different. I would say it's not made with as much heart and soul as the way it was when previously made by Festejo. The new owner didn't even introduce herself and looked mad while cooking in the kitchen. Not the same at all. I sadly won't be coming back. I'm hoping I'll find out where the previous owners moved to if at all.
I've been here twice and tried three different dishes. All of them tasted great, but the lomo saltado is hands down favorite. Main complaint would be that I wished for more of it. I'm a person with a very healthy appetite so it's possible that most people would be satisfied but I felt like I could do with a bit more food. It's not super pricey but it's not super inexpensive either so it's a bit of a letdown to want more to eat after.
Place is great! Good food, great service, highly recommend.
Amazing service. Good food.
Hole in the wall joint with lots of character and culture.
Nice and clean. Delicious food and reasonable prices. The decorations and the music makes you fell like you were in Períº
Super friendly staff. The papa a la hauncaina is the best and the lomo saltado has hit the spot. I will be coming back. The aji is the best too!!!
I am not even Peruvian, but for someone who has tasted original recipes in the Sacred Valley, this restaurnat's recipes are not only tasty but delicious. They took awhile to serve them, reasonable when it's cooked from scratch. No regrets, though. I had the empanadas de carne, which were cooked perfectly and the sauce just extraordinary. My brother also enjoyed his dish. Simple menu, but delicious. Additionally, the staff was incredible and very friendly. Stop by. Vale la pena.
The food is great I would go back soon
Food is amazing. Want a touch of what real Peruvian food is like. Can't get any closer than this.

Best Peruvian food in town , great service!
The close whenever, the open whenever. Never answer the phone. I like the food they just never seem to have solid schedule.
Tried this restaurant based on reviews. I tried the Bistec a lo Pobre (steak, eggs and rice), the steak a very salty. My mother had their Chinese Peruvian Style Rice, way too salty, and we also had the chicken empanadas, which were decent. The only good part was the friendly staff. Based on this experience I will not return. I was looking forward to a good meal, ended up with a stomach ache all night.
We ordered several things off the menu and loved all of them. Super friendly staff and good portions. Can't wait to go back!
