I ordered the steak and cheese sub, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The steak itself was not hot and the portion size was very skimpy. The bread also seemed stale, with hard outer edges. Additionally, I did not care for the chili at all. Customers believe tips should be a reward for service received, not a requirement before it's rendered. They received a 20% tip before I was served, they gave 0% effort to ensure quality product. The place was empty. I was the only customer there.

My sandwich, The Carolina, was superb....not too heavy with sauces, added jalapeño to it for a little extra heat and with the chips and drink it was only 12.00 and completely filling.

At the time, it was just after the lunch crowd, so it was nice to have the place almost to ourselves for about 15 minutes, then it got busy again. Which was fine.

The meats were perfectly cooked and tender, the bread toasted.....it was a nice break.

Firehouse Subs is a wonderful organization, and on top of that all this is a great location. This part of town can be a little hit-and-miss when it comes to service quality. This is one of the few places that is actually pulling the average up! I plan to eat here every time I am on a contract here!!

Manager and employees not welcoming. And the manager locked the doors and turned off the open sign 15 minutes prior to actual closing time. Seems the people in the store could use some training on customer service as it was lackluster at best. Food was decent. Definitely not the top quality I expect from Firehouse. Management might want to look into this.
