Fish City Grill

Very unimpressive. It's like an Applebees and Long John Silvers had a child. Food was ok, service was fair, and value fair. Was a bit pricey for the mediocre food.

Hey, this place is kind of a hidden gem! We were looking for a new “fish place“ here in San Antonio. While there are lots of fried fish places... that I offer a fine selection of previously frozen/Sysco fish (you know who you are) – Fresh fish at a reasonable price is hard to come by without paying an arm and a leg here in the Alamo city. Well, we found it! The price point is pretty reasonable and the selection is excellent. The fish is very fresh and the preparation is on point! The service was top-notch – (Delilah made our Valentine's dinner perfect) – we will definitely be going back again... Highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was something else. It was so delicious. And the presentation of plate was extremely nice. Love this place and would definitely love to go back. But would enjoy sitting outside better, the inside was just a tad too noisy.

I love fish city grill. It's close to my house. Nice atmosphere. Last night I did get lukewarm crab bisque and the breading on my catfish was just so so. But I will go back soon. 🐟

Delicious, fresh seafood. They offer blackboard specials as well. They offered a pot roast the day we ate there and it was DELICIOUS! No complaints from our party of 8 and we have some nit pickers in our group. Atmosphere is laid back. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was full. Service was prompt and efficient.

We dined Christmas Eve, arriving 3pm (our reservation time) which was their closing time, it didn't matter. Our Host was welcoming as if they just opened, our Server, who we've had the pleasure of being taken care of before, was happy to see us, our dinner service was perfect!! Our salads were dressed just right, the romaine was fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed them, I loved the red beans and rice too. Two of us had the fish and chips which were fresh out of the fryer when the got to our table and the fish tacos my wife had, were unbelievably tasty. We never felt rushed to eat and get out even though it was Christmas Eve and they were closing early, Thank you for making us feel wanted and comfortable. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. I had the Caesar Salad it was delicious. For the entree Bearing Sea Snow Crab & Gulf Shrimp Platter. It was wonderful. The waiter was very friendly and helpful.

don't know about the other menu items but the fish 'n chips / fishwich, is beyond disappointing, a small fillet absolutely soaked and saturated in oil, dangerous to consume without wringing it out first, + the flavor is all wrong, even the tartar sauce is trash, idk how it's even possible to ruin fried fish to this degree. do not recommend

Definitely my favorite seafood and a great staple for those here in SA. Encourage folks to take advantage of daily 3-6pm happy hour, and half price wine bottles on Monday!
Tyler took great care of us at the bar, and despite some disheartening menu changes, he ensured we had a great evening and enjoyed all that we ordered!

Went there tonight for dinner with the family. It was the best seafood we’ve had! Anna and Madeline took an amazing care of us! They were very sweet, attentive and knowledgeable about the food❤️Majority of their fish is wild caught and outsourced from Europe.
They also had a gluten free menu which was super helpful.
We got: Sea bass, caesar salad with salmon, fish tacos and fish and chips! Everything was 10 out of 10
Drinks were amazing too. We got margaritas, they were on happy hour too;)
