So good I forgot to review the first 3 times we went! Food must have had me mesmerized 🤤😵‍💫
Very chill, casual setup here with comfortable seating and easy to read menus.
I've gotten the mermaid oysters as an appetizer each time. They're delicious and have an extra sweetness to them that most oysters lack. As for main dishes, I am a huge fan of the gumbo here. Probably the best gumbo I've had in Texas. Its incredible. Simple yet full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Not super salty like most others.
Recently we had the coriander fish tacos either bacon, pico de gallo, jalapeños and Chipotle sauce. Omg that was 🤌😘
My wife got the Branzino which was served with broccolini and potatoes. A little more hearty of a meal, and very well prepared.
There hadn't been a miss we've tried yet. I'd definitely give this spot a try if you're in the area and in the mood for some fish! Super easy to order gluten-free here. They have a decent menu of cocktails and a full bar if you're looking to hang out.
We'll obviously be back in the near future!

Stopped in today for the first. Instantly was amazed at how good the food smelled. Our waiter suggested the smoked trout dip, which was amazing. The Fish and chips were phenomenal and the Jalapeño Bacon Mahi Tacos were superb......we will definitely make the drive from boerne on a regular basis to get service and food of this caliber

My SIL and BIL took us on a treat recently and we met at the Fish City Grill near The Rim, so it’s halfway for all of us. Nat was a great server who rolled out the welcome wagon for us. It was a nice treat, especially for my SIL and BIL’s first time to try all the different soups and oyster nachos. We also made it to their happy hour, which ends 6pm Monday through Thursday.

Hubby and I had the Gold Margarita, Hubby with frozen and mine was on the rocks. Hubby and Dad shared a bowl of clam chowder. We all shared a dozen Mermaid Mystic Oysters. Hubby had the Grilled Mediterranean Branzino. BIL had the pick 2 combo. Dad and I shared the Yellowfin Tuna with broccoli. My SIL had the tacos recommended by Nat. Everything was very fresh and delicious!

Definitely ask for Nat as your server when you come to visit. Highly recommend this spot!

Flavorless food. Very small portions. Fish and chips plate without any kind of sauce. Not even a lemon wedge. Left hungry. Servers are very sweet and efficient. Skip this one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Great Spot with Fantastic Tacos and Atmosphere!

Fish City Grill in San Antonio was a pleasant surprise! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a clean, modern, and inviting atmosphere. The interior is fresh and up-to-date, with a sleek, welcoming vibe that made me feel comfortable right away. The large bar is a standout feature — perfect for grabbing a drink and socializing.

The staff was extremely friendly and made the experience even better. They were attentive and welcoming from start to finish. Speaking of drinks, the selection here is impressive — they offer a wide variety of options that should satisfy just about anyone.

Now, onto the food — I ordered the chipotle shrimp tacos, and they were amazing. Each taco had a generous amount of shrimp, the tortillas were fresh, and the guacamole was clearly made to order. Everything came together perfectly for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because while everything was excellent, I like to leave a little room for a next-level wow factor. But trust me — I’ll definitely be coming back!

We came inside and waited for someone to seat us at a table but none of the wait staff came to ask, then a couple walked in behind us and they were attended right away in front of us. We still waited for a while before we decided to leave.

My clam chowder was awesome even if it was served after my lobster/shrimp grilled cheese sandwich

Disappointed in the chargrilled oysters appetizer. We won't order that again.

Service was great. The garlic cooked spinach is definitely one of their best sides.
