We went to celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday with a party of nine, and unfortunately the experience fell pretty flat from the start. After getting seated and choosing our meals, we headed to the salad bar—which was mostly empty and honestly underwhelming. Even the cheese situation was a letdown: instead of easy-to-grab shavings, it was a half wheel that required awkward, borderline impossible cutting. Not exactly appetizing. When the meat finally started coming around, it was slow and inconsistent. For a Sunday dinner rush, the place felt noticeably understaffed, with the same servers looping the room and long gaps between visits. But the real dealbreaker was the water. While refilling my wife’s glass—the one she was actively drinking from—the server overfilled it, spilling water overtop. Instead of letting the water spill overtop to the carpet she caught the overflow with her pitcher. Then, instead of grabbing a fresh pitcher, she immediately used that same pitcher to serve water to the next table. Watching someone else’s backwash get redistributed was enough for us. We quietly paid and left. Maybe I’m spoiled by another Brazilian spot nearby that runs like a well-oiled machine, or maybe I just prefer my water to be, you know, fresh and uncontaminated. Either way, this was our experience. You’re welcome to try it and decide for yourself.
Updated Review:
After my original review, Fogo de Chão asked me to email them, provide my phone number, and let them know a good time to contact me. I did exactly that, and they never called. I even followed up to let them know no one reached out, and they still never replied.
To me, that feels really unprofessional and shows they don’t actually care about fixing issues or listening to their customers. It’s disappointing, because I was willing to give them a chance to make things right, but they didn’t follow through.
We went to Fogo de Chão to celebrate our anniversary, and I even paid the extra price specifically for the ribeye. The experience ended up being really disappointing.
Several different waiters came to our table asking what I wanted, and every time I clearly said ribeye. They all said “okay, we’ll bring some,” but nobody ever came back with it. I kept waiting and waiting while they brought other meats around, and still no ribeye.
By the time I finally got one small piece, I was already full from waiting and eating sides. For how expensive this place is—especially with the ribeye upgrade—this shouldn’t be happening.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate something special, and it honestly wasn’t the experience we hoped for. I really hope they improve their service, because the food can be great when you actually receive what you paid for.

I wish I could give it a higher rating for what it costs to dine here. Food is just okay compared to other churrasco places away from downtown. What really drags down their rating for me is the service, or lack thereof. Service here is absolutely subpar. They left empty glasses on the table, they forgot to bring me my refill on my brazilian lemonade, and never refilled our little bread bowl. Not to mention they only brought out one piece of bread per person at our table. That's unacceptable.
The parking situation isn't ideal. They used to have valet parking. Now you must venture out and find your own parking space. That's never fun.
This is for the downtown location.
The only good thing about this place is the fact that your right above the Riverwalk.

Chris was awesome. Veronica had an attitude from the beginning. She told us just to wait for our plates when we had been sitting there for awhile. Ask again and she reiterated just to wait.
