I can’t stop ordering their amazing hot and sour soup and their egg drop soup!!! Always has specials of buy one get one free!!! Truly amazing!! Especially on these cold December days !!!

Fast friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Can be loud during high volume service. The food is always hot and freshly made. They have a great sushi chef and offerings. They have great waiters. I would suggest asking for Tang, Ming Ming or Micheal for the best service. Tell them John sent you.

our chefs name was Shamu, he was a very excellent chef, he interacted with us the whole time and was very funny! he sang me a birthday song and made everything perfectly

Went today for lunch. Ordered the basil chicken which was good but contained too many fillers like peppers, onions, mushrooms, which reduced the amount of protein in the dish. The egg roll was good. Some dishes are overly soaked in sauce, making them more like a soup than a lunch plate. The waitress never came back to refill the ice tea. We had to get up and pour ourselves refills from the pitcher. The restaurant was once nice on the inside. That was 20 years ago. It desperately needs major renovations and cleaning. At least get rid of the nasty, dirty, and stained wall to wall carpeting.

Nice classic chinese restaurant decor, although it was all kind of worn-out. The food seems hit or miss depending on the menu item. Still offering specials at correctly low prices; that's nice.

I've never been in person, but I'm always ordering this place on door dash and it's amazing every single time, I always end up calling about adding stuff to my order and the customer service is amazing and listens to what I'm asking. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

Not authentic Chinese foods

I haven't eaten at the Formosa Garden in over 15 years. But I was in the mood for Asian food and decided to stop in. I forgot how good Formosa Garden really is, not to mention they have lunch specials on Saturdays! I can't think of any restaurant that has lunch specials on Saturdays. So I was delighted to order their version of the pepper steak. It was delicious and very filling. Piping hot when it got here not to mention the presentation of the food was good and you had the option of two chicken wings to go with your meal which were good as well. I will definitely be returning soon.

Went with my daughter. She had the raw salmon sushi and sesame chicken. She said it was delicious. I had the general tso chicken which I regularly have there and it’s delicious. Big portions.

I had never been to Formosa garden, and as a die hard loyal fan of Shanghai on the opposite side of the city (don’t tell them but I completely cheated on them and LOVE FORMOSA GARDEN SO MUCH MORE?!??) the sushi was fresh and phenomenal, the food was quick and hot every time. The service?! Couldn’t ask for better. Thank you for setting the standard, Formosa garden. Definitely come check it out. Great location. Beautiful place, great service and ownership/management.
