My fish was over cooked, or oil in fryer may have needed a change…it seemed like it was old, over used fryer cooking oil.Fries were over cooked, hard and seemed old.After not eating here for a while, we were sad to taste the famous fish and fries again.Just wasn’t tasty.This is the first time ever we have had this problem.**Fred’s fish fry was my great grandmothers favorite fish back in the 70s…She called the fillets, pillows of fish. ?**

The fish was not cook right...it was eating bubble gum...the fries were hard...it took me over an hour to just get my orders...I saw 5 or 6 people walking in and walking out after waiting to be served...I've never never ever go to that place....and I'm tell all my friends ...do not go there...your off going to sea island ?...what happened...it used to be good...oh poor lady...I got to give her credit for doing it all by herself...Wheelchair accessibility: The front door step is to high...couldn't go in because the front little wheels hit the stopper...need to lower it a little more and more space on the entrance walk way...could turn my wheel chair..so I had to go backwards...put a ramp in front of the entrance and not just the sidewalk....

I had to come to try Fred’s because had a cult following. The truth is that Fred’s is a whole in the wall that is worth trying. It’s worth the experience. I got 3 pieces of fish, fries, and 2 slices of bread for only around $7.00. You can’t beat that, I even have leftover fish. Their batter is different to what I’m used and honestly it’s good. I would go back for more low key fried fish.Parking: Tons of space and easy to get to

The only reason this food was graded as a “2 out of 5” was due to the breading tasting stale and over soaked. The quantity was good and the customer service was great, but the food wasn’t what I was expecting . Also, just please be aware that this is based off a take out order experience. Not a dine in order.
