I was at the Fresca Restaurant with my family for breakfast. It was delicious, we tried the steak and eggs, the sausage and potatoes and eggs, and of course the big Texas waffle. Everything was great and the server was amazing. Her name was Chasity, she was so friendly and attentive. We really appreciated and enjoyed her. Thank you Chasity.

Fresca on the River is our go-to place before events at the Tobin. Great service, reasonably priced and delicious appetizers. The bartender Rudy is fun and always has a friendly and welcoming crowd at the bar. We’ve never been late to a Tobin event. It’s a 2-minute walk to theater.

This hotel wasn’t horrible, but it’s definitely not what we’re used to. The pictures on the website are misleading. This is an older hotel, and even though it is on the Riverwalk, it’s at the far end, away from all the restaurants and shopping. It’s a 20 minute walk to a restaurant on the river. The hotel restaurant didn’t look good, and we didn’t even want to eat it based on what we saw as we walked through. I can now see why this hotel was only $700 for 2 nights. It’s not really worth it to me. I’ve stayed at Hotel Contessa, and the Drury Hotel, and they were nicer than this hotel, and they were closer to the shopping. Also, we were told our room wouldn’t be ready for check in until 4pm because a lot of people decided to stay late. We also had mosquitoes in our room. We are IHG members as well, we opted for the early check in. And lastly, they forgot to clean our room after our first night.

Rudy made the experience at the hotel. Accommodations and front desk have been awesome, but he went the extra step in knowledge and recommendations for us first timers in the city. Amazing drinks and conversation.
