Staff and service was great and accommodating and the restaurant itself had tons of potential. This was my first visit to this location and I have noticed that it's been through several brands before Frida. I say potential since the floor, even in the bathrooms were greasy enough to skate on and there was just no upkeep to the establishment. Sad to see. Everyone at the table ordered a variety of dishes and it seemed with all of them that they were made several days before. It's San Antonio. If you are going to actually try to charge $10 per taco, you better come correct with everything. Old, premade food and a dirty, rundown establishment isn't going to make it and explains why they were empty on Mother's Day.

A disappointing Mother's Day... we made brunch reservations here to celebrate and upon arrival were told it was a buffet and could not order there regular Brunch. I get people do this however it wasn't advertised anywhere- not on website, not on Instagram, not in communication with the restaurant when I made and confirmed the reservation. At that point we stayed because it would have been to late to try and get in anywhere else, but I really wish this had been told to us so we could have made arrangements elsewhere. The buffet was extremely underwhelming cafeteria food. Drinks were very good and waiter was nice. And they did rectify a bill mistake that was made and we do appreciate that. Next year you may want to let people know if it is a mandatory buffet and not your regular menu.

$50/person buffet was not worth the price. The food available was soggy and some cold. Being Mexican food lovers, we are always searching for a new go-to restaurant. This was not it.

We expected the full menu for mothers day & instead it was a buffet. You could tell food was pulled out of the freezer & reheated. Only 2 kid options for food. No condiments were given for the food, no labeling, food was bland. The service was outstanding & the drinks were good but definitely not worth the price. Won't be coming back

Wanted to have a nice Easter brunch, and came across Frida's on TikTok. It looked very promising. However when we got here, we were informed that they only had a special buffet for Easter. We decided to stay and try it. However it was utterly unimpressive. The French Toast and pancakes were burnt. Rice was lacking flavor. All of the food was just very lack luster for the price of the buffet ($30). It might as well have been cafeteria food. Additionally, we ordered orange juice and essentially got a splash of orange juice with a glass of water. Now maybe we came on the wrong day but a few pieces of advice for management. 1. It you're not a buffet restaurant, don't do buffets. It comes across as lazy and obviously the food quality suffered 2. Probably broadcast that you have a special menu on your social medias. That way we can avoid this catastrophe again. 3. Get a better wait staff. Our waitress Isabella was great but she seemed to be the only one running around and working. She's really the only reason I left a tip because Lord knows this place didn't deserve a tip at all. This is just my first impression from my first visit. However first impressions mean a lot. And based off this impression I wouldn't recommend this place to the people I don't like. The place looks great, the ambience is great. Just think I came on the wrong day. But quality should be consistent every time a place is open for business.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was beautiful. Our waiter (Tony) w as such an amazing server. Very attentive and provided great service. The strawberry mojito was one of the best I've had and the food was delicious. If haven't been to this restaurant it is definitely a must!!

Our group arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday afternoon, not busy at all at the restaurant. They were a little confused with our reservation and seating arrangements. We only had eight people in our group so it wasn't huge. The food took longer than normal to get and I don't know if they were shortstaffed or what it seems we had a hard time getting a waiter attention. The food is good overall but I was somewhat frustrated in the slow service. It was a first time taking a new group of friends there and I was a little disappointed. But everyone seem to enjoy what they ordered

Servings used to be bigger; now they are also smaller and more expensive.

They should make it clear that Brunch is only on Sundays if you have an early morning reservation on Saturday. The ambience is nice as the restaurant is visually stunning but the bathrooms had a horrible smell. The service was fair. The food and price however were abismal. After being informed that there was no brunch and we had to order from the lunch/dinner menu we saw the prices jumped up exponentially. The food was either so greasy or so dry. The food presentation was also very poor. We paid $200+ for a meal we didn't even want to have at 11am and that we did not even bother boxing up to take home.

Highly recommend the short rib tacos❤️❤️❤️❤️ The pork Street tacos and the chicken breast dinner were excellent as well. The margaritas were a little weak, but overall the experience was very good. Weight Staff was outstanding!
