I usually go to the location on Bandera Rd, but decided to try this one the other day. When we walked in, there was only one employee. He said that it would be a 40 minute wait for boba. The boba is big reason to visit this place, so it was a bit strange that they didn’t have boba available. They also didn’t have another one the items she usually gets added to her drink. We ended up ordering the drink without boba because we didn’t have time to wait that long and had to be somewhere else soon. The location seemed clean and there were not very many customers.

Never had an issue here. Drinks are always great and staff is friendly and store is very clean and quiet enough to take a nap in. The Honey Green Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea are great!

An FYI Since I saw another reviewer complain about this: Milk tea is always served with Ice by default so don’t expect more tea if you order one without.

Only thing that could be improved here is the bathroom sink. It wobbled when I touched it very lightly and it looked like it could fall over potentially. Other than that it was cleaner than most bathrooms but could use some touch ups with the floor and walls in some areas.

Parking: Massive parking lot

Kid-friendliness: Kids will be happy with the flavors and boba choices!

The boba and tea are very good. My friends and I appreciate the selection of games, however I highly recommend adding savory food selections to the menu. When I'm here, I often crave something other than dessert. The only food item they offer are waffles with ice cream, which are tasty in their own right. However, even pre-packaged savory food would be much appreciated.

I absolutely LOVE their boba. They give you different options and toppings, so far this is the best boba I have had in San Antonio. My only complaint is the customer service, it's very mediocre. They're not the most friendly people but I guess not super rude either. Overall boba 10/10 customer service 5/10.

Flavor of the taro was disgusting. It tasted bad, and then the water they used had to have been tap. It ruined the whole drink.

Terrible place. The management here is awful and the manager, Katie is very unprofessional and should be written up. Treated and took advantage of a trainee poorly and very rudely. They lost our business for good. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Could get better boba tea’s elsewhere.

I've been a long time fan of Gong Cha but have never really had a problem, until today. I ordered a oolong milk tea with "no ice" (on the left) and a black milk tea with "light ice" (on the right). These are the drinks that they made. I saw how the cup is literally 20% empty and asked one of the employees if there is a reason why the cup is not filled, and she said back to me, not very nicely "We make our drinks based on ratio and you said no ice".First of all... I ordered this $7 oolong milk tea off of the menu, NOT oolong milk tea+ ice. No where does it say that your drink comes default with ice. If customizing my drink is an option like your menu offered, why am I getting 20% less product for doing so? Is this the way your store advertises that when a drink is ordered, I don't get 100% of what I'm paying for? When I took the second photo, the ice in the black milk tea has already melted, and it looks like the cup is full. If you guys make drinks based on some ratio, do you account for the ice that's going to melt and dilute the flavor? If so, why didn't you just add water to my drink so I can have the same ratio? At least I won't walk away with a 20% empty cup that I paid $7 for.I've been to a few different Gong Cha locations and this has never been a problem, at least not to this degree. I understand not filling the cup up to avoid spilling, account for easier sealing... but this is ridiculous. Just look at my drink.

Service here was outstanding, welcomed with a smile and didn't feel any pressure to quickly order since this was my first time.I got the Caramel Chocolate Slush with Oreo Crumbs added. Stuck to the normal amount of sugar and it was just right! The order was quickly made, but I wouldn't have minded waiting longer since the whole store smelled like sweet vanilla. Definitely coming back to try the other items available and their Bubble Waffles.
