Their diverse menu of Tex Mex and comfort food
There is a reason Green Vegetarian seems to be so well regarded (for veg food) in San Antonio. It is delicious. I mean far exceeding what I hoped for in flavor. The portions are good too. I went with the protein bowl, humble bowl, and the buffalo bites (to cover dinner and breakfast). The protein bowl was amazing. I have never had tofu with so much flavor and a nice crisp texture. The kale was so good, I wanted a bowl of it alone! Very filling. The beans and rice in the humble bowl were just as good! Overall it exceeded my expectations, especially considering it was via DoorDash and still amazing. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-31

Taste delicious but I wish calorie amount was available. And the only other issue I have is that every time I come the food isn’t consistent. But overall the food tastes amazing and is healthy

Amazing food, had the Spicy beef wrap, the Big nasty and the grilled cheese. Don't sleep on the Quinoa side, its super flavorful and an amazing healthy choice as a side dish. the Spicy beef wrap has to be my favorite, they really nailed the flavor profile for that wrap. Everything was great. Hope to come back soon with more people!

🚨Beware🚨
We've been going to this place forever and always talk with the owner and everything. We recently went them and actually paid attention to what we were eating and discovered MAGGOTS in our food. We told the owner and was shocked that he he was in no hurry to make things right. The staff acted if it was normal and didn't bother to do a thing. That was the last time we'll eat there. Don't bother with this place, stay away.

We stopped in today and tried their famous 3.5-lb cinnamon roll, and it did not disappoint. This thing is absolutely massive, super fresh, and loaded with icing—definitely something you share unless you’re up for a serious challenge.
We paired it with their cucumber water, which was refreshing and a perfect balance to such a rich treat.
Great vibe, friendly staff, and a fun stop if you’re on the River Walk and want something unique. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a vegetarian dinner while out of town. The eggplant was crispy and delicious! My husband enjoyed his chicken dinner. Everyone was friendly and the desserts were homemade. Thanks!
By default all options are vegan. Lot of variety in menu. Healthy options too. I go there a lot while in san antonio

Everything was vegan with a vegetarian option for real cheese. The vegan mozzarella sticks were amazing! They were crispy and the “cheese” they said was made from rice? I don’t know. The crunchiness of the breading made me think rice, but I don’t know. I had the masala burger which was good, but it was messy so I’d order without the mango chutney (very sweet and messy).
