Great pizza. Made to order. A small one will feed one very hungry teenager or two regular adult people. The large is enough for three adults with a bunch going home.
Leaving two stars because the wait for one pizza was ridiculous. We watched pizza after pizza come through to go and waited almost an hour for our food. Our service was good, but we won’t be back as the wait wasn’t worth it.
Also-I thought the arugula was going to be cooked into the pizza? Was strange that it was just plopped on top lol.
I came in from California, and although the food was pretty good, my family and I were so impressed with the service we received from a young man named Julian. He was so personable, yet very professional. Julian was very welcoming and eager to have us return before we left town, which we did. Thank you, Julian. My family and I will stop by as often as we can. We'll also recommend our family and friends who live nearby.
Came in around 4:45 saw maybe 5 tables.. not many people. We ordered pepperoni jalapeño black olive 16 inch pizza, Then a garlic parmesan chicken pizza 12 inch took over and hour to get our food. We had to box everything up so we can make it in time to our movie. Pizzas tasted kinda burnt on the bottom. Other people that came in after us got their pizzas less than 20 . Caesar salad was great. Server was polite. Kitchen might not know what they’re doing. Or they lost our order I don’t know but disappointed.
Absolute favorite pizza! This visit wasn't the best...picked up pizza only to get home and find one of the three pizzas was pretty burnt, which meant most of it wasn't edible. I put my order in online and it took an extra 30mins past the quoted time for pickup (which was already a little over an hour). Again, this is my favorite pizza so I'll always be back!
Went to stone oak location in San Antonio TX on Friday 5/23 for dinner. Sat down right away ordered food. After 25 mins the waitress came and told me that the pizza would take another 35 mins to come. I said that too long and can I talk to your manager. Some lady with red shirt in came to talk to me. I know she was not the mgr. She came and asked me you wanted to talk me. I said yes, why it would take 1 hr to make pizza. She said we have only three people making pizza and we have a lot of orders. I said that’s not my problem and you should have told me when you took the order not after I waited for 25 mins. Also I said as a manager it’s your responsibility to let your “owners” or HQ know that to put more people in kitchen and expand the space. It’s not fair for the kids making pizza at the kitchen and customers who would wait for 1hrwhile the owners get all the money and enjoying the life. Also these are not cheap pizza im paying premium price for a reason. One of my kid already fell asleep. Finally the real Manager came and talk to me and apologized and followed up the order and comp with a desert. This is my 3rd time and almost every time the wait time is too long. Hope the owner does something hearing this.
Worst wait staff ever! They are always apologizing for the wait. Usually, it takes around 45 minutes to receive our food. I have never seen this restaurant over 50% full yet always so slow. Last visit was today. Other tables around us were complaining about the wait. This place sucks!! Don't show up here if you are hungry.
I try not to be disappointed if someone else cooks my meal and delivers it to me. But tonight's dinner was disappointing. We were a 2-top amd seated pretty quickly because they were not that busy. Our waiter took our order (16 inch Don) and we waited about 45 minutes for it to be brought to our table. It seemed the ToGo orders took precedence. Another 2-top that was seated after us got their food before we did (and they had salads with pizza, we only had pizza). Most of the bottom of our pizza was burned. Our waiter never offered to refill our drinks. Sorry. We won't be back.
Rebeca, Angela, and Davian were absolutely delightful and informative! They made my first time here such a breeze
We have always loved Grimaldi’s, but after waiting an hour and 15 mins, with no updates from our server, we asked to speak to a manager. Jacob approached our table and said that the kitchen was over an hour behind and our server should have informed us, and while this was unacceptable, we would need to wait another 25 minutes for our food. We had a two year old with us who was getting fussy so we asked for bread or something to tide her over. We ordered drinks and twice had to pick them up ourselves from the bar. We received no updates from our server nor any accommodation from the manager on duty and they had the nerve to charge us for bread for our toddler. The lack of concern or care for the horrible service on our $186 meal was unacceptable and we won’t be back. Hire staff that care and managers who have authority to repair discrepancies.

ordered a pizza at 9:45 pm, picked it up at 9:55 pm, and it was somehow cold when I got home at 10:10 pm. It's 85 degrees outside and the pizza was like cold like a step up from the fridge. I'm convinced they put my pizza in the cooler to punish me for ordering late.
$30 for a cold pizza, also dude on the phone tried to discourage me from ordering because of the time.
Good pizza at a reasonable price
After a long day at work, i had taken my girlfriend to Grimaldi’s in Stone Oak. Tired as i may have been, i had taken her to her favorite place for our anniversary. A server named Julian who i had never seen before took great initiative and effort in bringing us both waters with lemon without even asking. He must have known we were flushed. He explained to us the process of the pizza and its traditional way of it being made. No one has ever explained to me the process of how the pizza is carefully crafted. His positive energy radiated throughout the restaurant and i even got a second wind of energy and my girlfriend as well. He made our little 2 year old daughter giggle to which she is shy but sure took a liking to him. He even brought her some play-doh after asking us if it was ok. Wow, a gentleman who is not only attentive to me and my girlfriend but our daughter as well. He told us about the menu and explained it may take up to 30 minutes for the pizza to be brought to us, he offered us some appetizers; the Bruschetta which we gladly took and we then put in The Don and The Ivy Pizzas. We then closed out our night with the to die for Banana Cream Cheesecake which he also recommended. I appreciate this gentleman as I did no work and he spearheaded my girlfriend’s and my special 10 year anniversary. I sat back and watched him work a miracle. I was so flattered and my girlfriend said how come he just made us feel like royalty. I said he is a fine individual who i can see enjoys what he does which is making everyone feel special. I stood up and shook his hand and tipped him $100. I watched this man the whole time I was there and saw him helping the bartender, other tables orders and even bussing tables. Is there anything this man does not do. This man will go far in life with his work ethic and character and passion. Grimaldi’s needs 10 Julians. I highly recommend anyone who goes there to ask for him. I know he made our 10 year anniversary special and im pretty sure he does it for everyone. I surely hope he is appreciated there cause i appreciate him there and cant wait to see him the next time we return for Father’s Day.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at your establishment, and I felt compelled to share my outstanding experience. From the moment we were seated, our server, Julian, provided service that was not only professional but also remarkably genuine. In fact, he is the best waiter I’ve ever had.
Julian's friendly demeanor and attentiveness significantly enhanced our overall dining experience. He carried himself with the poise of a seasoned professional, yet his approach was warm and inviting, making us feel truly valued as customers. His commitment to excellent customer service was evident, and he helped create a positive and welcoming environment.
It's clear that Julian is a tremendous asset to your team, especially considering he is new. I wholeheartedly recommend that the management consider recognizing his exceptional contributions with a raise or other appropriate compensation. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
I have been going to Grimaldi's in Stone Oak for years. Finally they are hiring waiters who make you feel like you received the best service ever. A young man named Julian made my family's visit a memorable one. We never had to ask for more water or drinks. He is super friendly, made us laugh, and made us feel like we look forward to our next visit. I hope we get him as a waiter again!
