I love this HEB. But why doesn't the bakery carry the white cake with dark pink frosting and chocolate on chocolate cake anymore? Both are in plastic square container (same as corn bread container) . I thought it was discontinued in all HEBs but found it at the marbach location. Please bring back the cakes! They are delicious. Please don't make me go to the hood for it.

Curbside Exchange
I called to see if I could order cupcakes on the same day for my son’s last minute birthday celebration. The person I spoke with “Bella” said it wasn’t possible. That was fine. I asked if she could tell me if they had anything I could come purchase that were a couple of specific colors. She said she didn’t know what they had in their case (meaning she wouldn’t put the phone down to look and save me the trip in case they didn’t). I hung up and was able to get the same information from Walmart, who actually had the cupcakes in the colors I asked for. Very basic colors and the worker checked their bakery case and their tables to confirm they had what I was asking for. I will no longer be shopping at HEB. Infact I did. My last grocery haul at Costco. HEB has lost a customer for life because of the laziness and unwillingness to earn my business by just one worker. She needs customer service training.

I went here a total of 3 times. All 3 times the employees that were right in front of me took forever to acknowledge me. 1st to ask if they could print a photo on a cake. The response I got was yes and to bring in a 4x6 of the photo. 2nd time I brought the photo, an employee filled out a cake order form with me and took the photo. 3rd time I got the cake, it had no photo on it. I told the employee there that this was not what I ordered. They got my order sheet out and said there is no photo listed on here. I said I didn't give the employee a photo for no reason. What I assume was a manager or leadership role came out and found the photo that I turned in and said it would be about 10 minutes to fix it. I'm glad it could be fixed, good thing I wasn't on a time crunch. Very disappointed with the bakery department.

I've been working in New Mexico for the past several months and 2 things we miss dearly from Texas are the food and H.E.B. Friendliest service around and great deals. H.E.B. rocks!!!
The people who work at the bakery department are very rude. Ignore you and have an attitude when you’re able to get their attention.

I usually do not have problems with this bakery but they completely messed up my daughter's soccer team order. They tried to give me green crooked cut out soccer balls that were suppose to be black and white. The cupcake was missing half the frosting . I had 30 minutes to the last game and 11 girls waiting for cupcakes and they didn't have any cupcakes and tried to just say sorry. The only cake substitute they had was a chocolate cake and a plastic soccerball that they stuck on. It looks horrible with pink frosting. I honestly think they should have called hours before with another alternative or give me time to find a replacement for their mistake. Instead of trying to sell me green soccerballs. What if this had been a birthday party. Not ordering again.

I love heb but am tired of the endless displays and stocking staff that I have to wait to navigate around..it’s bad enough it’s packed with customers without having these issues as well

HEB has an amazing bakery dept,as always, but the employees are great,except for an amazing employee,her name is GINA, fun-lovin,easy going,while placing our bday cake & order ,with special colors. Order to be picked up, Sunday, August 14th at noon. Praying that HEB MGMT will read these comments & acknowledge Ms GINA,at HEB, on Potranco Rd .
