I ordered a 4 piece chicken and I must say ?? that chicken was so succulents and seasoned to perfection ... First time here visiting from Dallas on our baecation with the wife ... I will definitely be back when I'm in town again ... Thank you so much for this delicious food ???

I googled Soul Food near me and H&R Soull Food & BBQ came up as 12 miles from my location. Today is not the best of weather, cold & starting to drizzle rain which could produce slight ice on the road ways. Because of the weather conditions, I called the listed number and the owner answered the phone. I wanted to know if he was open. He informed me, he had strict guidelines due to COVID-19 but he could deliver or I could place order over the phone and come to the location and pick up the order. He informed of the menu & price list. I placed my order over the phone. Bbq pork ribs with two sides. The meat fell right off the bones in one bite. It had delicate taste you did not need the BBQ sauce ( sold). The collard greens taste like Aunties greens and the coleslaw was homemade. If you ever in the MedicalCenterarea and have a tastefor Soul Food. Please don'tmiss out with H&R Soul Food. You will not regret this opportunity. .

This was my first time eating here and honestly I must admit, I was a bit worried because it was inside the gas station. But walking in you can already smell the food. The owner greeted us and told us all the specials. I told him I wanted fried chicken and he warned me “it’s half a chicken” I was like “umh ok...”. I was NOT prepared !He started cooking & the smells. YALL! The smells coming from that kitchen were mouthwatering.Wow, what a burst of delicous flavors. The ribs were so good that it feel off the bones, tue collared greens were really really good. I loved how they cooked the green beans. The potato salad was absolutely to die for, it was the best. We ordered some wings as well & they full of flavor. The chicken was juicy & tender but bursting with flavor and so crunchy!Please try them out you will not regret it
