Gotta preface this with the fact that I used to love this place. That was before their recent remodel / revamp. The atmosphere is totally different now. The chill mood lighting and anime playing is no more, now replaced with an AI generated picture of a cherry blossom... Lovely. Hanzo now feels more like an uptight, wannabe upscale spot. The service was never great but the people were friendly and conversational with everyone so it could be looked past, I don't feel this is the case anymore. Loads of staff now (nearly 1:1 with customers in the place) and still we waited 25 minutes to be given water and nearly another 30 to actually have our order taken and receive our two drinks. Throughly disappointed with the experience, especially seeing as we were very excited to return to one of our favorite spots expecting new and great things from a nearly 3 month revamp. TLDR: The drinks are still good, if you can ever get them.

The vibe and food aren’t the same anymore. RIP to the firecracker shrimp 😭 they took it off the menu (I used to get five hot orders). Gyoza and miso soup were meh. Wings were okay but not as good as before. Sashimi was decent, drinks were good. My server was nice and checked on us regularly. The other servers were nice too but kept bringing us food that wasn’t ours. Hoping this is just growing pains with the ownership change. I would liked try again in a few months, but a lot of my favorite menu items are gone. I will be on the look out for a menu change.🤞
PS. Where's my anime?

Service was extremely slow, forgotten appetizers, drinks taste like medicine, a lot of items on the menu weren't available, food took forever, $15 for tiny rolls. Will not be back.

Was closed for a revamp on Christmas/New Years but upon coming back, it lost a lot of personality. TVs were installed instead of projectors they had but now they're just mainly playing ads. Music is more generic, decorations were removed, and no longer has the mood lighting

They revamped it and now they don’t even have anime on the screens smh. Bring back the anime🫵🏼
I will change my review to all fives, just please bring the anime back at least on one of the screens. And please bring back the old hours. Otherwise, dig the revamp.

Long haired man was extremely unprofessional. They close out your tab without telling you its last call then the bartenders are drinking alcohol, seated at the bar, 15 minutes before they even closed. Their cook had my friend kicked out because he jokingly said he can cook better than her, then the bouncer was loud and rude. When i finally defended my friend and expressed my frustration for them constantly interrupting us and cutting us off mid sentence , they kicked me out too even though i did nothing wrong. This place is only surviving because of their vibes and menu. The bar manager is absolutely garbage and will ruin this business in time. I will never give another dollar to this establishment until he is gone. I wrote it off when it was 1-2 visits that he was a problem. But over the past 2 years he’s been an issue like 5 separate occasions. Its ridiculous.
