All day Happy Hour on a Monday? Yes, please!! This anime inspired hidden gem is a must for Happy Hour and/or late night drinks and snacks. Their happy hour menu prices are unbeatable with a variety of food and drink options. I think we ordered just about everything off the bites side of the happy hour menu and weren't disappointed by any of it. They have indoor and outdoor seating, fun Japanese & anime style decor with anime playing on tv screens.

Though the food and drinks are great, the service is almost non existent. You’ll get your order and never see your server again. I’ve come here multiple times and will continue to come but it’s so hard to keep ordering or have a good time with friends when you have to hunt down your waiter every single time. Even the runners are more attentive.

Omg. In from Cali and we have a Hanzo out here as well. It was late and we were looking for a place to eat. I'm so glad they are open late. When we arrived we bumped into three people who made no effort to seat us. It was basically look for a place and sit. I love the decor but I think they need to update the chairs a bit. The one I sat on the foot piece was broken and the seats were dirty. The food was awesome. I loved the veggie wraps. The yellow tail sashimi tasted so fresh. The rolls could have been bigger. We also ordered spicy edamame. We would have ordered more but the waiter didn't tell us the kitchen was closing. But next time we know better.

Ambiance was quite dark initiate for date night tucked away right off Broadway. The service was quick very friendly and informative. The food tasted great and all hot and fresh. Interesting combos for the sushi flavors presented very pretty

I highly recommend this space. I loved the happy hour menu. 3-7 and 10-close so a wide variety to try it out for after look or late nights. They had quality drinks and options compared to other locations. The staff was attentive without feeling overbearing. I also loved the anime playing in the background.

4.26 stars!! Outstanding place located off Broadway. Slightly hidden ( which is a good thing!) but is super nice inside and outside. Food is well made and thoughtful and drinks while well fashioned and a bit weak and slightly sweet, are easily modifiable because of pretty easy going bartending service. Overall just a fabulous place for a hangout.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options in all categoriesParking: Plenty of spots in the front or the back

The first time I went I sat at the bar and had amazing service. The second and third time I went I felt invisible. I sat at a table those times. Decided not to come back. Food is OK, service is terrible. Was very disappointed because I was so impressed the first visit and I liked the vibe.

My first visit to Hanzo was an experience I’m eager to repeat. Arriving during happy hour, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive selection of drinks and food, all at unbeatable prices. The atmosphere of the place set the perfect backdrop for what was to become a delightful culinary adventure.Although the food and drinks took a while to arrive, the wait was well worth it. Among the highlights were the spicy edamame, which packed just the right amount of heat, and the pork belly bao. Notably, the bao buns came deconstructed, adding a fun, interactive element to the meal as I got to assemble them myself. This unique touch made the dish even more enjoyable. The sushi rolls deserve a special mention for their deliciousness and freshness. Each roll was a testament to the quality of ingredients and the skill of the chefs, making them a memorable part of the meal. While the wait time might deter some, I see it as a minor hiccup in what was otherwise a flawless dining experience. The quality and value of the offerings during happy hour, combined with the fun of assembling my bao and the excellence of the sushi rolls, are reasons enough to plan a return visit. Next time, I intend to bring more friends to share in the joy of discovering Hanzo’s culinary delights. In sum, Hanzo has earned a spot on my list of favorite dining destinations. Its combination of delicious food, great prices, and a charming atmosphere, coupled with the freshness of the sushi rolls and the novelty of deconstructed bao buns, make it a place I’ll be talking about for a long time—and eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Mediocre drinks, overpriced, super slow service. Feel like only one waitress was assigned to the outdoor patio & she was overwhelmed.

The place was closed on the day it said it was open.Won't go back. We especially changed our date to Tuesday lunch because their website and the sign outside their restaurant they were open. Highly disappointed.

Hanzo is a hidden gem and my go-to spot when I'm in Terrell Hills. The primary reason is the staff -- Richard the bartender is incredibly professional and hospitable. I asked him for local recommendations and he was kind enough to write a long list of all his favorite bars and restaurants. These recommendations were important as Google is not helpful in San Antonio -- only the locals will provide the truly good places to eat and drink. I ordered the ramen, and although the broth was delicious, there was something wrong with the noodles -- they were likely overcooked and had a strange, gummy consistency. I assume this wasn't intentional, so I would ask. Otherwise, it's always a great experience here between the food, drinks, ambiance and the service.
