I have been a regular here for about four years now and I still absolutely love it here! The food is exquisite, the atmosphere is fun and whimsical, and the service is great!

After spending two years in Japan it has been difficult to find ramen that is halfway decent. Hero’s has been the best we’ve found! It’s almost like being in Japan ? Love the food, service, and the 5 different anime shows going at any time. Best ramen is a tie between Hero’s spicy miso and the spicy tantan! Only wish the gyoza was pan seared instead of fried, but it doesn’t stop me from ordering it almost every time.
The positives: the flavor and prices aren’t bad. But the actual soup’s consistency was too thick. The portions were small.The negatives: you have to order your meal right when you enter the restaurant AND then also leave a tip right from the get go. How does that make sense? What if the service is bad? Do I get my money back? And if you want to order more off the menu, you have to go back up to the front and order. What kind of lazy service is that? The only restaurants that I know do that is fast food…The place was half empty and we were seated right in between two other guests. It was awkward and cramped and there were so many open seats that would’ve been a better experience. The waiter never came to check on us, but why would they? They already got their tip. The whole place oozes laziness. I’m sorry they took my money! Never coming back nor recommending this place. There are way better options that actually give you time to order, breathing room and provide some modicum of service to earn the tip that I feel obligated to give

I'm Japanese, and I'm kind of big fan of Ramen. I visited several Ramen restaurant in San Antonio, but I'm sure that this Ramen restaurant is the BEST. I'm moved by the fact that I can eat this quality of ramen in the US.The taste is really authentic, and I guess there is a Japanese chef.（or advisor since I don't see any asian inside the kitchen.） Also, the staff's hospitality is amazing. They are so quick to serve unless it's crowded. When I asked the to-go box, he prepared so quickly, smiling. You should try at least once.
