Hot Joy was SUCH a vibe!! 🔥✨ We came in for the lunch special and everything was amazing. I ordered the beef and broccoli — super yummy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor!
It was my first time at Hot Joy and our waitress, Vanessa C., was so patient and kind, explaining everything to me. 😭 She truly made the experience even better! She recommended the Monkey Fried Rice cocktail (trust her recommendations 👏), it was SO cool and tasty. The presentation was next level — I literally had another customer ask me what I was drinking because it looked that good! 😂🍹

Love Hot Joy, the old location was amazing and my previous review was 9 yrs old so time to update to a new review. Stopped in on Sunday and sat at the bar!
New location is awesome, I love the aesthetic. Drinks are still delicious as I have gone to other Tiki and rum oriented drink menus that really couldn't compare to Hot Joys.
Service is great, everyone is friendly and nice and attentive and if you need a recommendation they got you no problem!!
Food, still great and there are regular rotations as well as the loved staples (like the twice fried wings which I always have to get).
Go here, you'll have a great time and a great meal.

Got there at 3:45 pm.and we sat down at the table, the waitress came up and told us we need reservation,it would be 20 minute wait.We looked around in utterly amazement the place was less then 10 percent full.She looked so rude and said need a reservation. I do not like people without a tad of any sence.!!! Weird place never go back.!!!!!!!

We came during the freeze and were met with the best service from Abby. As a San Antonio native I appreciated her genuine demeanor and attentiveness. She made us feel like family . This was exactly needed for us tonight to help warm our souls . :)

Foods are awesome!!! Especially the buns. They are so good we were so surprised! The service was perfect. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and fast. The restaurant has a great vibe too. Clean, fun, and welcoming. The music was a little loud, so it was a bit hard to talk sometimes, but it was still totally fine and did not ruin the experience.
Overall, I really enjoyed eating here and I will definitely come back. If you like fresh food and soft, tasty buns, I recommend trying this place.
