Cody was absolutely amazing! His service and patience was awesome. We ordered quite a few drinks and the place was packed. There is a trade show happening and there is an extra 15k people in the area and the bar wad standing room only. The staff were busy but happily made our drinks and handled their side work and the crowd like it was nothing. I didn't feel like I was a burden and Cody enjoyed serving us and made excellent recommendations. I would highly suggest you go here. This bar is a hidden gem along the river walk. A true Tiki Bar.
Authentic tiki cocktails in the lone star state? Who woulda thought? We tried the Karaage chicken, poke dog, and coconut shrimp and all the food was great. But to find a classic MaiTai was the true find.
We came here on a Tuesday after dinner for drinks and our server Cody was amazing!
Such a fun tropical hideaway! We really enjoyed our experience here and would recommend to others. Cody took great care of us and made us feel welcome. Our drinks tasted great and we ended up getting a themed glass and swizzle stick as a souvenir. So glad we did! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
I've been able to visit this bar about once per year during my travels. The interior is pretty small and very well decorated. The tiki design is well thought out and executed. The air conditioning has a hard time keeping up and its only June so don't come here hoping to escape the heat. Maybe its a little better at night - make reservations. The bartenders were a great fit and knowledgeable about tiki drinks and bars - this is not just some dress up tourist trap that you would expect to find on the river walk. Only had one round of drinks this time because it was pretty warm inside.
Very cool Tiki Bar situated along the River Walk with indoor and outdoor seating! Cam, the bartender was great and accommodating. Prices are a bit steep given it’s a themed bar but overall a fun vibe. Drink pictured: Painkiller.
Cody’s Customer Service is Next-Level!
Cody is hands down one of the best when it comes to customer service. From start to finish, he was patient, professional, and incredibly attentive. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people he’s helping—not just checking boxes, but actually going the extra mile to make sure everything goes smoothly.
He listened to every concern, answered all my questions without rushing, and followed through on every promise. It’s rare to find someone who takes that much pride in making sure you feel valued and taken care of.
Cody doesn’t just do his job—he elevates it. He turns what could be an ordinary experience into something you’ll remember for all the right reasons.
If you’re looking for top-notch service with a personal touch, Cody is the one you want. Truly outstanding!
Loved our experience! The service was attentive and so friendly! Drinks were definitely made with love and attention to detail! The apps were spicy and delicious! We are already planning to head back! The only thing that would make it a perfect experience is if the AC was set a few degrees cooler! Overall a wonderful date night!
Fantastic experience. Extremely knowledgeable bartender, extensive spirits menu, great ambience. We were hoping to sit outside but there was a random storm passing through and we were glad to end up sitting at the inside bar!
I think we were at a disadvantage being there right before Final Four and it was rainy, probably a different vibe during other times. I had a hard time knowing who the host was, walking by her twice... finally just sitting at the bar and getting service there. Bar staff was friendly enough. Again, they just seemed like getting ready for the weekend.

Fun Tiki experience. Good drinks. Hostess problematic but did not detract from experience once seated.
Made a reservation after 9pm on a Monday night. Had a really hard time finding the place, we ended up walking around their massive patio, tugging on doors until we found one that unlocked and led us into the actual bar. We were greeted by a bartender who immediately told us that the only tables available were outdoors (it had been raining all day). The place was gorgeous and had a great energy. We didn't end up staying, as there were no tables, bar top was full & no standing room. We were upset that our reservation was able to be accepted, when the place was obviously at max capacity.
During our visit, Hugman's was doing “Sippin' Santa.” This would be fine if it were only an option, but not having the restaurant's regular menu was really disappointing. Sippin' Santa occurs at bars all over the country...so we weren't here for that, we wanted to experience what Hugman's had to offer while we were in town. They wouldn't even offer up the normal Hugman's merch when I asked. The Sippin Santa drinks were mediocre and didn't feel up to par with drinks expected at a tiki bar. Did not try the food.
The service was seriously lacking and I felt like the servers did not want to be there working. Not once did anyone greet me or say welcome or explain the menu. I check my party in at the host stand, was walked inside and seated at a table. A server came by and handed my table menus and walked away. The male bartender behind the bar was explaining to a customer that he hated the menu, and said you all decided to start the pop up too early and were ending it too late. Personality, I have enjoyed finding the pop-up bars and trying new drinks and enjoy the decorations. The staff just did not seem happy at all. The host from outside came in once and checked on everyone and asked if we were alright. No one else. It was like here's the Menus, order, get items, then get out. I went to miracle the other day and the staff there had a completely different attitude and made the experience memorable. Not sure if I will be back to this location for the Christmas theme pop up or when the regular menu is offered.
We went here for their sippin Santa pop up bar and had a fun time. Great atmosphere and drink menu. One drink we ordered was extremely unbalanced but the rest were good. The staff was nice, fast and accommodating. Prices were a bit high but consistent with surrounding bars for the touristy area.
