I LOVE sneaking away to HO - An oasis in the middle of the crazy riverwalk. Their drinks are very well made - by people who take tiki cocktails seriously - which is much appreciated.
Very cool ambiance on the SA Riverwalk with a tiki inspired vibe. Quaint and dark ambiance and the Sippin Santa menu had a nice festive selection. The hot buttered rum drink and coconut shrimp were delish!
Me and my mates had a terrific experience for the Snippin' Santa! The atmosphere and the professional service was amazing!
Hugman's has an incredible atmosphere — the vibe is amazing, the décor is beautiful, and it's definitely a spot with great potential. When the drinks are made right, they're fantastic. One of ours was absolutely on point and exactly what we expected. However, the experience was a bit hit or miss. Unfortunately, the bartender we had didn't seem to want to be there and had a noticeably bad attitude. It definitely affected the overall experience. The Mai Tai, which I've had many times and normally love, was awful this time — it tasted almost like lighter fluid. We even had it remade and still had to throw it out. Despite that, I still think Hugman's is a wonderful place with a great atmosphere. If the service and drink consistency were improved, it would easily be one of the best spots around.
Had a great time this week hanging out at hugman's and chatting with their new bartender Joan! Loved the Disco Daiquiri and the Karaage Chicken is a must!

To be clear, I am leaving a 5 star review for Joan. He was welcoming and provided prompt service. The food and drinks were great! I am removing 2 stars; one each for the two female staff members at the end of the bar glued to their phones. While I was there, I only saw Joan interact with customers. When I went to close out my tab, I had to wait for him to finish making cocktails for other guests. I was even super obvious standing up and stretching with the goal to get their attention. They never looked up from their phones even once.

We showed up late on a weeknight looking for a nice place to have drinks and we found it. John was our bartender. He did a great job. After we had a couple of island style drinks, I decided that I wanted to try an old fashioned. I know that an old fashioned is not a typical tiki bar drink, but I was in the mood to try one. John made an excellent old fashioned. Additionally, John was very interactive with the customers, was very professional, and seemed to know each customer by name. 10/10 will be there again.

The absolute best service I've had in a long time. Our bartender Joan was above and beyond providing exemplary service and hospitality. Everyone else was super friendly, too.

Cool tiki bar right on the river walk. The mai tai was super strong and wasn't dark as expected.
