IIsong Garden is truly a gem. The menu is amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes full of authentic flavors. Every bite feels fresh and satisfying. The location is convenient, and the restaurant itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Walking in, the restaurant was empty, besides one other couple. We were seated and ordered Bulgogi and Kimchi Jigae. The soup was flavorless and the meat was extremely rubbery and dry. The bulgogi was good, but the price for the portion size was outrageous. $50 for a bowl of soup and small plate of bulgogi. The banchan was also sitting out in a self serve tray, but it looks like it hadn't been touched for hours. The server did not bring banchan or tell us about the station as well. Just not a great experience. There were several dead roaches in the restroom and the room before them. Would not go back

I always crave their bulgogi, kimbop, and kimchi soup. It's definitely a go to for my family. Good food and good service, and I've never had to wait for a table. Even if I did have to wait, it'd be worth it for the food. My 1 year old even loves the food. We get her rice and the veggie pancake and she loves it.

Hard to enjoy your food when you look up and see what looks like mold looming above you in the vents, the water damage and paint peeling, nothing wrong with the server, I cannot complain about him Seafood pancake was greasy and unseasoned, while also having a floury starchy texture on the inside. Beef Bulgogi, was bland, and was hot for about 3 minutes after it came to the table Soon Du Bu (seafood soybean soup) was right along the lines of an instant ramen Glass of Water (not pictured) had particulates at the bottom of the glass. Hope I don’t get sick after spending a grand total of $62.23 for two entrees an app, and a Dr.Pepper

Authentic Korean Food That Impresses Native Koreans! I visited Illsong Korean Restaurant with five Korean friends, and every one of them said the food was just as good—if not better—than what they’re used to in South Korea. That’s high praise!
We had galbi, bibimbap, kimchi bokkeumbap, and tobiko—every dish was incredibly authentic and packed with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, the preparation was traditional, and the service was excellent.
If you're looking for a true taste of South Korea right here in San Antonio, Illsong is a must-visit.

the food was really good but it is crazy expensive ! service was also not the best, the server was basically whispering to us. i also wished they had small portions for kbbq instead of having to pay for AYCE :-/ the prices for the plates we got cannot justify coming back.
