The ban chan was good very tasty but portions were small. I mean I got 3 cubes of kimchi potato. It's just potato. And just small cubes. But the rest was great.

The staff was really friendly and the food was really good , the chicken katsu was 3 big pieces of chicken and it was slightly sweet and the sauce was tangy so together it was really yummy. I tried my friends beef galbi and the meat had a really good flavor and they were good pieces of meat. Would come again!!

I love it here!!! The service is top notch and the food matches the vibe in every aspect of the restaurant. I had just had a really bad experience at another Korean restaurant where there was a lot of micro aggressions towards me and my family. It’s sad because we were regulars and had been going there three years now. This made me want to stop supporting local restaurants but I love Korean food so my partner and I decided to give Ilsong Garden a try one evening. Best decision we ever made. There is not enough good things I can say about this restaurant. I have been bringing my younger sister here for us to dine and it’s now become our little hang out spot. Please try out their food ? you will not regret it ?%.

I am thoroughly disappointed with my recent experience at Ilsong Garden. I placed an order through DoorDash, eagerly anticipating a delicious meal, only to find out that my order was given to someone else. Mistakes happen, but what followed was completely unacceptable.
The restaurant called me and, rather than offering to remake my order, told me that I should cancel my order at my own expense and place a new one if I wanted my food. Not only had I already paid for the meal, but being asked to take on the additional cost of cancellation and re-ordering is both unreasonable and poor customer service.
I had hoped for a pleasant dinner and instead ended up frustrated and without a meal. I expected much more understanding and accommodation from a restaurant I was eager to try. I won’t be ordering from Ilsong ever again.

I’ve always loved Korean food, growing up with a mix of Filipino heritage and Asian friends, including many Koreans. While I’ve visited several Korean restaurants in San Antonio, none quite satisfied my cravings. Last night, my fiancé and I were hungry, and I was particularly craving kalbi. I came across Ilsong Garden and noticed all the glowing reviews, so we decided to give it a shot, even though it was late.
We arrived just after midnight, and despite the hour, the waiter greeted us warmly. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option, which allowed us to select three appetizers and three types of protein at a time, with the option to switch as we went. The appetizers were generous and delicious, and the banchan side dishes were served buffet-style for self-service. The protein options were also marinated to perfection.
I’m so glad we found this place. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating, even though it was late. We’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit!
