Love, love, love this place! A little taste of South Texas in fine brews. I love the familia atmosphere. Super dog friendly. We were greeted by one of the owners as soon as we entered their eclectic hole-in-the-wall establishment. He took his time explaining all the beer selections and even gave us a ton of tastings. Would definitely come back with my fur babies. High recommendation. They will be moving soon to SouthTown so make sure to catch them at this location while you can or buy their canned beers at H-E-B soon.

Considering that we're still in the midst of a pandemic and many small businesses have been struggling as of late, I like to give them my support the best I can. Islla St. Brewing ,however, just had to make that a huge and really difficult challenge. I drove here at the spur of a moment just to try that much talked about Big Rojo beer. Then some girl asked me for an order number. I had no clue what she was talking about. I just wanted to buy some damn beer. Then she told me I had to place an order online. I was immediately disappointed, said to myself "**** this!" and quickly drove away. Never again. Not a good way of developing good customer relations...tsk...tsk.

Probably the most overrated Brewery in Texas. Customer service was terrible, was unable to buy beer in person was told I needed to order online. Finally got my hands on their Rojo beer and let me tell you. The beer tasted like big red and Lonestar light had a child out of wedlock and named it diabetes. I poured most of it out, for it to be so hyped doesn't surprise me, San Antonio has bad taste I mean joes volcano stayed open 20 years and that s*** sucked too.

Quick and efficient. Don't be overwhelmed if the line is long , line moves super fast .We ordered the big red beer and had friends who ordered as well who we were picking up for and had 0 issues . Just go in knowing or have your order numbers written down for smooth sailing .Would definitely order from them again .

2.5 Stars I have to be very cautious as I write this review not to venture into Beer Advocate or Untappd territory. I assure you that I don't have an account for either. I have gone to their brewpub a couple of times. I've tried several of their beers at various places(Gooberverse series- Kanye Zest etc.). And I recently utilized toast tab to score their highly publicized beer, "Rojo." So why am I going against popular opinion? Am I being a contrarian? Difficult? I will tell you there will be times on Yelp when you're on the fence about a place but cumulative experiences always tips the scales.I remember before Islla even opened trying their Pineapple Empanada IPA at a local festival. It was hands down the best beer I had at that event. I really appreciated their ethos of blending cultural roots with creative takes on craft standards. Unfortunately for me that is where my affinity for them ends. Firstly I went to what was supposedly to be a soft opening. But a misprint by a local zine turned this event into a full out grand opening. Needless to say it was a perfect storm of circumstances: crazy crowds, unavailable styles, lukewarm beer to include service. To be fair to them I understand they must of been taken by surprise. Which I assume included going back to the drawing board to regroup. I decided to reserve my review contingent on a future visit. So I waited a few months to allow the crowds to dissipate. The next time I went the place was empty. When it is not crowded this is the most optimal time for a brewery to make a connection with the patron via tapmaster. Instead the dude seemed like, "Whatever." No, "Is this this your first time here?" Or "Are you looking for a specific style?" I ordered the Suavecito 37 dressed with cajeta on the glass's rim. In all honesty I was a bit confused. The only time I have any one dressed is with a Corona and I try not to resort to that. Subsiding the beer this experience was less desirable than the first. The vibe was very unwelcoming. A brewery should create the feeling of being at a second home. No one traverses across town only to chug a beer wanting to leave.Again I have to tread lightly not to go into Ratebeerland. The pivotal experience for me was an online purchase made on their toasttab account. I was hoping to score the second batch of the Rojo made with Big Red soda. So an order was placed. I got a Saturday pick up time and date. I was ecstatic as it sold out in minutes. A few days later they posted a letter online saying that a glitch in the computer sold inventory meant for future release dates. The only recourse according to them was to divvy pick up times into three waves. Surely my given Saturday date( first day of the relaunch) meant I would still get a late pickup or at the least be included in the second wave. Wrong.Much to my chagrin I was not even given a second wave spot but relegated to third. Which meant an almost three week wait. I began to wonder how did they determine cutoffs? If the amount sold was in the hundreds why didn't they just do purchases in a first come first serve format? My conspiracy theorist brain went into overdrive. Did they pull the names of favorite regulars and place them in the first two slots? Was inventory even ready for pickup? If it was why didn't they just distribute orders throughout the week? Computer error on your part is still your part. It's best business practice to at least attempt to fix a mistake. My experiences at Islla Street Brewing Co. have thus far been a series of unfortunate events. Even as a professed misanthrope I try to remain optimistic. However one of my biggest Yelp pet peeves is a business that doesn't attempt to make things right. To me this should be included in a business's mission statement. It shouldn't be, " Too bad so sad." Now I will segue into my craft beer enthusiast mode. Ok so here's what I think of their, nevermind. When you get past the chest thum

Well here we got an awesome brewery. Very homey feeling but since coronavirus its only to go. Everytime a beer is dropped it sells out in minutes thats how good we are talking here. Definitely a must stop in if your into the craft brewery scene.

Worst online ordering experience ever. I Wish the website for this small business was user friendly and not complicated. Keep in mind also this place is awesome hands down if covid -19 wasn't a thing. Just the website is garbage when ordering fyi. I still would recommend this place to friends.

Love this place! They have some delicious different style beers. Our last purchase, which we enjoyed last night, was like liquid dessert.

This place makes you feel like your chilling with friends in their backyard. Great atmosphere, people there are super friendly and ready to accommodate. I cant say enough about the beers. Great flavors and combinations. The only knock I would say is other than the food truck there isn't any food but other than that great little hidden spot you have to try!

Daring place. Never bored with them. Some of the stuff is hit or miss, but you can never call them boring. Different rotating beers they make in house. Give them a try. A+
