J-Prime seems to be a trendy place to be in North San Antonio, and was quite lively. Although the noise level was quite high to the point of making it difficult to have a conversation without shouting, the food was excellent; properly cooked, perfectly seasoned and tasty. The wait staff, while very friendly and accommodating, could use a bit more training on how to properly wait a table in what is ostensibly an up-market restaurant. Having said that, our evening was a pleasant experience. Will dine here again.

Overall, the experience at J-Prime Steakhouse was excellent. The dinner was paced very well. They provided an amuse bouche to start the palate. We had the lobster bites as a starter. They were deliciously buttery. Our mains were the American Wagyu NY strip, cooked perfectly to medium rare, and the Chilean sea bass. The steak was amazing. Very flavorful and tender. The sea bass was just as tasty. We ordered the sautéed portobello mushrooms and the lobster mac and cheese as our sides. Both could have been mains themselves and were savory and delicious! Our finale was the crème brûlée. This was excellent as well. The sugar was seared perfectly and the crack was just right.

Parking: You had the option of valet or park yourself. We opted for self parking and had no problem.
From start to finish, this meal was a showcase of culinary excellence, with each dish delivering flavor and quality. The appetizers were a wonderful introduction to the meal, with options that immediately set a high bar.
The fried oysters were a standout, perfectly crisp on the outside. They were addictive and hard to share!
Next came the lobster bisque and wedge salad!! Outstanding!!
The main attraction, the tomahawk steak, was nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to a flawless medium-rare, the meat was tender and juicy, with a charred crust that added a smoky depth.
