Just precooked reheated foods, small portion and price as regular restaurant, I ordered a pork bento and the pork tasted like jerky, very salty and chewy. QR code ordered and you needed to pay including tip ahead, took almost 30 minutes to have foods delivered. However it is the only restaurant in the garden, so if you must eat, it is better than starving. For me, one time experience is enough.

The food is fine but it takes so long like 45 minutes to an hour at that time they aren’t busy

Even on a busy day, I was hoping to get corteous service.

I tried to give a tip as well:( but it was so busy, the cashier did my transaction to get to the next person.

Actually the food wasn’t bad, sashimi was very fresh and good quality, sushi was good. It is almost impossibly to overcook ramen, but they managed to overcooked them, and the pork belly was a bit too salty, other than that, one can’t complain about the afresco dining surrounded by nature and garden, worth the price.

I got the brown sugar bubble tea but it wasn’t so nice. You couldn’t really taste the tea and the boba pearls were hard. I think they weren’t boiled long enough maybe. So it lead to a weird mouthfeel, not what you’d expect from boba.
But the aguas frescas was pretty decent and refreshing in the Texan heat. Not too sweet!

Food is great grab and go food very light and very refreshing does not blow me away but I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth. Definitely a surprising find in San Antonio I really like the atmosphere. The fact that the garden has been here for 100 years now is amazing. For anyone passing through here this is a must see.

Ordered the tofu bun which was delicious. Some of the best tofu I’ve ever had. The plate was beautiful. Loved the small and quiet atmosphere to cool off inside. Great experience!

Thai tea is basically orange colored water, same with the matcha. Doesn’t help when there is a whole layer of ice water on top too. The boba is close to car tire texture and is also tasteless. The tofu kind of stinks on the inside and is super firm. Only thing that tasted good was the pickled cucumber and the cheesecake was slightly good. Chicken katsu was ok. At least they had giant fans beaming the seating area.

I wouldn’t come here for the food but the experience is ok. It was a bit pricey but expected for a tourist spot. The buns are more chinese style than Japanese, and tasted ok but i wish the chicken karaage bun had more filling. The krab salad bun was ok. I would not recommend the luke warm gyoza, however i do recommend the Tuna poke nachos. I was curious what “sweet green tea” was but it turned out to be unsweetened green tea. Overall it was a ok experience.

🌸✨ Jingu House at the Japanese Tea Garden – A Hidden Gem! 🍱🍵

Wow... just WOW! 🤩 I had the most incredible dining experience at Jingu House and I can't stop thinking about it! Nestled right inside the beautiful Japanese Tea Garden 🌿⛩️, this place is a total vibe!

I ordered a full-on feast and everything was chef’s kiss 👨‍🍳💋: 🍣 Spicy Crab Roll Sushi – So fresh and packed with flavor!
🥬 Tofu Katsu Bun – Crispy, savory, and that soft bun was perfection!
🌵 The Nopal Bowl – A beautiful San Antonio twist with bold flavors.
🥢 Veggie Spring Rolls – Light, crispy, and served with a delicious dip.
🍰 NY-Style Cheesecake with Matcha Cream – SERIOUSLY next level!! Creamy, rich, and that matcha drizzle? 😍
🥤 Mexican Coca-Cola – The authentic taste hit just right!

The service? 💯 I ordered straight from the table using a QR code, and BAM 💥 my food arrived ASAP! Super fast and friendly staff 🙌 and shoutout to the fans outside — kept the patio cool and refreshing! 🌬️☀️

Didn’t try the bar 🍸 (I don’t drink), but it was poppin’ — clearly a hit with others!

Whether you're a local or visiting, HIGHLY recommend this spot if you're craving something fresh, flavorful, and unique. 🍽️🧡 From the presentation to the taste, they nailed it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 experience! Will definitely be back! 💕🇯🇵
