We were visiting last week san antonio and had not been to a joe's crab shack in years, since most locations are closed here in houston area. It was about 5 of us and on a friday evening. I understood the wait because of the location & it being a friday night. When we finally got seated by our hostess another young couple was seated next to us. 10 minutes went by & no one came to take our drink order. The couple next to us had a waitress greet them & take their drink order. Another 10 minutes no one has come to our table. The couple next to us gave their food order and got their food, & yet no one came to take our drink order. Mind you we tried to be patient because it was busy and on a friday night. But after 35 almost 40 mins i got up & asked they guy making drinks if we were supposed to have a waiter or could i put our order in myself. He asked why, n i told he we had been sitting for about 35 mins & no one came n spoke to us except the hostess to seat us & the young lady to take our pictures. My hubby decided just to go. I would understand if they were short staffed but the fact waitresses walked by & NO ONE asked if our drink order was taken or anything. Sadly as muvhbas we loved Joe's we will not be visiting this location again

We arrived on the river walk and got on the waiting list and were told it would be 45 mins.
After waiting for over an hour we went back to the hostess and were told they were no longer seating people.
When we asked the manager why we were not notified the manager said it wasn’t their problem
You couldn’t pay me to come back to this location

So I’ve always been a fan of joes and I’m allergic to seafood. But I I always come for the vodoo chicken bites they are my fave. Need to bring back. Also was at San Antonio riverwalk location was sat down after had to find hostess and sat at table for 30 minutes and nobody said anything to us or took drink orders we got up and left

Colby was amazing. Attentive, helpful, kind and very helpful. He made the experience worth staying. We came on Christmas and each staff member was incredibly rude expect Colby. We even had the manager walk away with no apologies after explaining how disappointing it was to be the only 2 out of the 10 people in the restaurant and waiting over two hours for food. I will not be back to this location. Colby again, AMAZING.

Visited with my family there and had the best experience! Our server Carolina was so friendly and recommended some really good items ive never tried before.The food was good but she made the whole experience great! We will definitely be going back and asking for her :

Food was served cold! Imagine eating cold seafood boil yup it sucks. We were seated on the 2nd floor and were forgot on. Barely got refills on our drinks. Honestly I’m not going back. And I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Waited 45 min for the appetizer and an hour for the food and had to keep looking for our waitress. I asked the steak to be cooked med and it was well done and tough when I cut into it. Needless to say I'm not ever coming back!

My family came from California and me being a former server at the joes in Arizona I was excited to bring them to joes as it was their first time. I was sadly disappointed. I can’t even tell you the servers name because she wouldn’t tell us even though joes standards are too write it on a paper towel flag in the bucket on the table. We waited an hour and a half for our food. The manager was no help and when I asked if the kitchen was behind her acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. I ordered the shark bite drink for my kids hoping for the fun experience of yelling shark in the water as they pour the grenadine in the cup, well she didn’t even though I asked her just to make sure it was still a thing and she assured me it was. We saw our server 3 times during the 2 hours we spent there. I will never go to this location again. So disappointed.
