Based on one visit but there will be more!!!
Summary: Excellent food and good service.
Food Details: We tried a bento box and 3 sushi rolls. The Batman roll (sub non-spicy crab) was my favorite but others in the group preferred the malibu. my dad liked the jojo roll (spicy mayo on the side) and my ds liked the mango roll. All the rolls were very good, just personal preferences. The bento box was good but personally I would probably order a plate instead next time. We liked the orange chicken and lo mein.

Ordered the chicken yakisoba, it was inauthentic, the chicken tasted off, and the noodles were drowning in sauce. It was just a poorly made cheap imitation. I also ordered the taro bubble tea smoothie and it had huge chunks of ice in it, seemed to be lazily prepared.

We LOVE Kai. Our Japanese daughter-in-law loves coming here, and it is always a wonderful experience. We highly recommend the seafood salad! The sushi is definitely better than the Chinese entrees.
Ramen lunch option was horrible. Spinach in ramen…? The ramen noddle was slimy. Spring rolls were slimy too.

Food was absolutely fantastic. Great place to stop for lunch. Wasn't terribly busy. I got the Tonkatsu Bento Box. It was almost too much food. Will definitely be going back.

Good food, great prices!
Every time we go here, we literally leave and say wow that was the best sushi we've ever had. Every time we visit tops the last.. and for us that is saying an awful lot, because we love to go out to have sushi!... Mike and Reggie make the experience memorable every time. So far I've taken my mother when she came in to visit when my daughter was born, my daughter's godfather has been there, and soon my father in law... hands down... best experience overall in all San Antonio unquestionably!!! Thank you for always making each visit better than the last.

It was good. Just out dated interior.
Update: Today is Thursday October 11th, 2024. Today will be my last time to ever step foot back in this place. For the third time the server shorted me $20. It's happened three times three different servers. I give them my money they turn and walk away after giving me my change. I guess some people don't say anything. It's bad enough they don't always have the coins. But count your money if you choose to go here. The food is becoming more and more and more lesser of quality. The bento box that I ordered today. Was overly coated in salsa. The lo mein was basically a noodle soup. The sesame chicken was overly coated in sauce. And the fried rice was something else. At least the egg roll was decent. It tastes like it was a Frozen food. The atmosphere inside is just boring and dark. Still outdated. I'm in this area every day. It's convenient. But never again.
