Honestly, the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life. And this is not coming from a coffee snob.
I ordered a cappuccino which was essentially brown, milky water.
I left it and went to 7-Eleven and got a decent cup of coffee lol

The food was OK. Avocado toast with good presentation.
We also order a traditional breakfast, which was average and they were stingy giving you only one tortilla!

Ambience is quaint, but crammed .
Service was OK

The best part is that there is a nice city park in front of the place where you have a decent view.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kapej is a true hidden gem in San Antonio. Tucked quietly off Camden Street, it feels worlds away from the busy bustle of downtown, yet it’s still close and convenient. The shop has a warm, welcoming vibe that immediately makes you want to slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy your coffee without feeling rushed.

The drinks are excellent—thoughtfully prepared with rich flavor and care in every cup. Whether you’re a casual coffee drinker or someone who appreciates the craft, you’ll leave satisfied. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall charm of the place.

There’s plenty of street parking nearby, which makes it easy to stop in, and the shaded seating area is a wonderful touch if you want to sit outside and relax. The shop is also right across from the park, so it’s the perfect opportunity to grab your drink and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by trees and open space.

If you’re looking for a cozy, relaxing coffee shop that feels like an escape in the middle of the city, Kapej is it. A lovely spot to recharge, read, or simply enjoy good coffee in a peaceful setting.

Run, don't come here. Wait for them to hire more people or figure out their time management and kinks. More than a 30 minute wait for coffee, on a Saturday morning - I couldn't wait any longer and just got a refund. They never came out to let us know what the hold up was. No long lines or tons of people waiting.

First red flag is getting here, finishing my order (took 5 minutes to wait in line and order), then waiting and noticing one person (who was already seated while I got here and ordered) approaching the cashier asking about her drink and mentioning to her they never started her drink. She just got a refund and ran. I should have done the same. One other customer who was there before the other lady waiting - experiencing the same thing. He asked, told him they were running behind. Before we left three people left and got a refund.

Will give this place another shot in the future...if it's still open.

Love this place. They post local artists on the wall, and everything is homemade. It’s a great small business worth supporting.

I go to tons of coffee shops, they are my happy place. Kapej is by far one of my favorites. It’s family run and they are so kind and attentive. The food and coffees are delicious. Feel good place.

Ok, typically I will eat at a location and then wait later on to write about it. Oh no, not here!

Took my first bite of the egg, spinach, cheddar sandwich and immediately started thinking, have I had a better breakfast sandwich in San Antonio. 5 minutes later - sandwich was gone and no picture! That rarely happens!

Coffee was perfect! This seems to be a little mom and pop place. Paintings, jewelry, and other items.

We live downtown and both of our Doctors are a block from Kapej. We will walk to all Dr appointments and treat ourselves on the way back.

Well done Kapej, and thank you not for breakfast, but for a experience.

This quaint little coffee shop is a hidden gem, especially if you're a dog lover. It's located right across from the dog park and totally pup-friendly. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were so sweet and welcoming to me and my dogs. It instantly felt like a cozy community space.

The front of the shop doubles as a mini art gallery, featuring local artwork and adorable postcards, which gave it a creative and personal touch. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered 3 shots of espresso with Mexican vanilla and coconut milk (yes, I like it strong), and it did not disappoint. The flavor leaned more on the bitter side, which I personally enjoyed.

I didn't get a chance to try the food, but what I saw looked fresh and delicious. I also completely forgot to snap a photo of my drink because I was too busy enjoying the cute outdoor seating area and the overall vibe.

If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. They had a full list of seasonal drink flavors written on a chalkboard (I wish I had more time to try a few)! Whether you're here for coffee, art, or just a relaxing spot with your pup, this place delivers.

This little spot has a big personality. You can sit outside or in. The coffee was rich with flavor and the lemonade was fresh. The bacon cheddar sandwich was exquisite and their pancakes had a very unique taste. I would definitely dine there again.
