In a converted old house this very local feeling bbq shop has a bunch of wooden tables throughout the front and backyard and various rooms in the house. It looks like they kept the original layout do that style of home and just converted rooms as-is. As you walk in the kitchen is to the right and a sign to go order at the bar. In the bar area there are a couple bar stools and a couple tables. There is also a backyard with a few tables. It was August in Texas so naturally, we chose a table outside. . It didn't seem like the inside had air conditioning anyway, and at least we could choose a table with some shade. I, of course, convinced my lunch mate to get a bunch of the meats and share them all. We got the Sweet tea glazed spare ribs, Pulled pork, and Oak smoked brisket. It was Served with pickles and your choice of tortillas or sliced bread. Overall, not bad. I still have my fav Texas bbq that is closer to Dallas and have had some good ones in Austin. I would say if you are close, try it out, but I wouldn't travel far for it.

Posting accurate hours on Yelp would go a long way to get more than a one star rating. I walked all the way from my hotel downtown looking forward to this based on the reviews. FTP.

Tortillas for the tacos weren't warm enough, so they broke as soon as I picked up the taco. Other than that, AMAZING!!

This is the BEST BBQ in San Antonio Texas. As a native here, I grew up eating BBQ. This restaurant tops it all. Buried behind trees, plenty of parking. Lovely outdoor patio. Very friendly service and a bar. Do not miss out on the restaurant. Can get very busy.

Was very excited to try the place out and finally made it down with company from out of town. I felt horrible for her cause it was a total letdown. We walked in and the place was extremely warm. Not sweating hot but at 7 pm it was hot. We placed our orders the lady was nice, but fails to mention they had NO ice. Like NONE!! So if you like fountain drinks without ice then this is the place for you. It would have been nice to have known about this before we order. We would

Well I was highly disappointed. I came here with high expectations but was very disappointed. First the smell is terrible when you walk in and it's very dirty. Second the food was just bland and the bbq sauce wasn't good either. Sometimes hole in the wall places are the best but this was definitely not worth going at all.

Went to this place after reading about how good it was suppose to be, and WOW it did not disappoint. I got the carne guisada grilled cheese, 4 tacos with the 4 types of meat (brisket, pork belly, pulled pork, and shredded chicken), and a side of borracho beans. Everything was fantastic. I would say from a flavor stance go with tacos because you get to try every meat and they really shine as tacos. The grilled cheese was great, but I preferred the street tacos flavor over the copious amounts of cheese. The borracho beans are probably the best I have ever had this side of the border which is something I don't say every day, I mean they were amazing! I came around opening on a Friday for lunch and i didn't have a long wait so I I'd suggest coming before 12 on a weekday if you have limited time. I will keep coming back to this place it was top notch and the prices are extremely fair!

Uhmuhgawd. There's a reason this place sells out fast. It's phenomenal. My first experience with King's Hwy Brew n Q was a brunch excursion that took place as soon as my mouth healed from wisdom teeth surgery. I had eggs and fried green tomatoes and it was heaven on a plate. More recently I brought my sister and brother in law here for a Saturday lunch and we had the most amazing things. Everything melted in our mouths. I had the carne guisada grilled cheese sandwich, and it had a perfect ratio of meat and cheese. My sister had the brisket grilled cheese sandwich, which just... someone pinch me. And my brother in law? Brisket sandwich, which was to die for. The staff is SO friendly and helpful. They were patient, too. I want to come back for brunch, but I also want to come back just for the brisket. When I resume eating meat again I want to eat my way through this restaurant.

This place is awesome! We stopped by one afternoon a couple of years ago when they just opened. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket grilled cheese. Both were very good, but the brisket grilled cheese has been our go to order every time. The portion sizes are huge, so we order a couple of smaller items like the street tacos to share. They have a good selection of beer as well. I was excited to see how popular the restaurant became after a news story. The only downside is that the restaurant became so popular, they would sell out of food before really early. The restaurant had been able to keep up with demand lately, which is great. The back area is nice, kind of reminds me of a backyard BBQ at friends house. This is a great place to bring friends, especially out of towners who need to experience good Texas BBQ.

Brisket was pretty good! Little greasy but all around great flavor and great marbaling. Wanted to try the turkey but they had none even though we were one of the first that day. Only tried the potato salad as a side and it was fabulous! My friend had the grilled cheese carne guisada and she was not dissapointed. What was disappointing was the BBQ sauce. Terrible flavor very strong vinegar taste tart taste.

I don't have enough great things to say about this place! After coming highly recommended via Yelp and from what I had seen on Food Network, this was a must stop on our trip to San Antonio. No disappointment here. To start, you can't go wrong with BBQ tacos. Squeeze of lime and bbq sauce and you have yourself an amazing combination. Although we arrived a bit later than typical lunch time resulting in a few choices being sold out, the brisket was by far the star! Such great flavor; fatty with plenty of bark. Can't wait to go back to visit San Antonio just to visit again!

Came here for the first time today. It's a cute little house downtown across from 5 Point Local. I love the aesthetic of the place the only thing was that I had to park on the street in order to get here. Walking in there were different "rooms" or spaces that were eating areas and you have to order from the bar. I got the 4 street tacos, 2 chicken 2 carne guisada, with borracho beans. The tacos were smaller than I expected but somewhat filling and the beans were pretty tasty. My boyfriend got the polled pork sandwich and that was really good! I would come back here for the barbecue. They didn't have a lot of condiments just some hot sauces and barbecue sauce. Should've had more with the food that they serve. This place is not bad but like I said I'll come back for the barbecue.

This restaurant is located inside a house. Kinda small but definitely cool. The BBQ was pretty good but i wanted more. Maybe that was my inner fat kid coming out but I wanted a bigger portion size.

The food is beyond incredible, all is pit smoked which makes the food so juicy moist and falls apart with just a fork or spoon.the side items are incredible.the portions are a a lil above average but are not to small you rethink if u over paid. The only bad thing is the parking ,you must be a ultimate parallel parker or expect to walk a few lots away The sauce comes in two flavors a sweet kind in the yellow bottle. Or sizzle your taste buds with the spicy red bottle
