Food was tasty and atmosphere was elegant. Just seemed a bit overpriced for the quantity on the food you get. Other than that it was good.

Had not been to Kirby's in a while but went to celebrate a fruend's 84th birthday. Both the happy hour and dinner were exceptional. Will be going back this week to celebrate my son's 64th birthday. Tabitha was a delightful server.

Wonderful high end dining experience. Wicked expensive but I understood that walking in. We had a great time there and the service was impeccable. Beautiful interior but a little loud for that type of venue. The off menu selections were plentiful and items in the menu were in abundance. We had a tough time choosing, just about everything sounded delicious. We loved most of our food but were disappointed in our main courses as they were both totally salty. I could not finish my Mesquite Rib Eye and my S.Os crab cake was too salty as well. Drinks were perfectly made and you need to try the French Onion Soup!
We went for a date night. There were some hits and some misses. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. I would probably go again.
Food:
Filet mignon - hit - probably the best one that I have ever had.
Lobster tail - miss - The sauce overpowered the flavor. Too salty.
Lamb chops - hit - my husband loved them. I'm not a big fan of any lamb chops, but the sauce was great
Lobster bisque - hit - I loved it. My only complaint is that it's not on the regular menu, so it probably won't be there when I go back.
Sea bass - miss - my husband sd it was bland and the lobster risotto was mushy and flavorful
Mexican martini - great
Service - ok, the waiter could have been nicer. We tried to make small talk but he wasn't too interested. Never smiled.
Overall, I would go back and get the Filet mignon and lobster bisque on a regular basis if it was available.

I recently dined at Kirby’s Steakhouse in San Antonio and had a mixed experience. The blackened scallop appetizer was delicious, and the cocktails were well-crafted. The service was also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. However, I was disappointed with the dry aged ribeye steak. As a steakhouse, I had high expectations for the quality of the steak, but it fell short. The ribeye lacked flavor and was not cooked to the temperature I ordered. Given that the steak is supposed to be the highlight of the meal, this was quite a letdown. Overall, while there were some positives, the main attraction—the steak—did not meet my expectations.

My wife and I took my parents to Kirby's this past Saturday night. We normally start with a few Maryland Style crab cakes (their beurre blanc is exquisite, best I've ever had) paired with their house sauvignon blanc, but this time we went with their baked herb Boursin cheese and sour dough crostini. The baked Boursin is simple, well-executed, and pairs perfectly with the sour dough crostini. I highly recommend the baked Boursin paired with the Faust cabernet. It's a great experience! At any rate, we all ordered Pittsburgh style filet mignon for our entrees. I can't say enough about the unsung heroes in the back of the house who cook the steaks. Kudos to whoever runs the grill. Our steaks always come out perfectly and this time was no exception. Thank YOU! Interestingly, Kirby's offers a new or revised mac and cheese this month, the Chipotle mac and cheese. We ordered the Chipotle mac, and it was definitely a hit. You have to a try it if you haven't done so, especially if it's only available for a limited time. It would be an injustice if I didn't address the bar and the service before I close the review. In reference to the bar, the cocktails are always on point. Every drink is made from scratch with quality ingredients. My wife thanks you. ? In reference to the service, we were fortunate to share the time with Paul. He's attentive, engaging, and willing to find an out-of-the-box solution if you have any special requests. I can't say enough great things about him. Also, Jane, Tabitha, and Peter have all delivered great experiences in the past for us as well. Thanks, team Kirby's. See you soon!
Our server, Jane, was very personable, professional, and attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the glasses of champagne she brought us to start the evening was a special surprise! The food was delicious, and the options were creative and hard to choose between. The cocktails were also delicious and creative.
We try to visit Kirby's a few times a month. The most recent visit, the wife and I invited some friends to share the experience. We all ordered Pittsburgh style filet mignon, medium rare, with the cognac sauce. The food, service, and drinks were all outstanding. If you haven't tried the dessert, we highly recommend the Pecan Pie a la mode. There's nothing else like it in San Antonio. Also, I just wanted to give a little shout out to servers Paul, Tabitha, and Peter. All three are attentive, engaging, and add value to the experience. Well done, Kirby's!

The shrimp and crab-cake, the starter, was practically burned. It was so overcooked that I had to use a knife to cut into it. I should have sent it back, but it was so busy that our food was dropped off and our waitress disappeared.
We had a great evening with our usual group og dear friends... plus one more from out of town and is a real foodie... she was much impressed! Best place ever to enjoy an evening with friends. Service always top notch... like family!
We arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation to enjoy a few drinks in the bar. We were seated on time in a quiet room and our waiter Roy was excellent. My wife's salad and my Chicken Noodle soup along with warm bread got the dinner going. Next was my awesomely prepared Ribeye (very tasty) and finally after dinner coffee with a Chocolate dessert. We enjoy Kirby's quite often because of both the food quality and their excellent service. Highly recommended.
Kirbys is one of my go to places and we went for Restaurant Week and loved it. Their menu was great. We started in the bar where Corey (sp?) was so nice and attentive which is hard in a busy bar on a Friday night. Tyler was our server and you could tell right away he knew what he was doing. Didn't have to ask or wait on anything. We had him help us out with menu selections since they all looked great and he was spot on. Highly recommend him. We went back into the bar for a drink and ended up talking to the Manager Matt who has been there since they opened to tell him how wonderful the evening was. Very personable and nice guy and you can tell he takes great pride in his restaurant.
Kirby's is the best! They always have the best restaurant week menus It's obvious that they put a lot of thought and effort - it's always different and delicious Three banging courses with several options and great add ons opportunities A stellar wine list and great cocktails selections - something for everyone Always super service - thanks Tamala! Don't miss this one ☝️
