The food was okay, I feel like you need to sit at the beginning of the line to get what you want without having to put the order in... which I feel like when you put the order in they wait to see if it's still on the line before sending it freshish.... service is great as is atmosphere quality of food could be much higher.
This place used to be great. Now I can sit for twenty minutes seeing only watermelon and cake pass by. Yes, I know you can order on the machine, but that's not the point of conveyor belt sushi? This month's special, the bluefin toro, was super fishy. Some of my favorite menu items have been removed. Also, the new reservation system is awful. I got texted to come into the restaurant twice and both times was told it would be 15 more minutes. The wait ended up being 45.
You're paying for the experience. And the experience is novelty, not luxury. A revolving sushi bar is essentially sushi in a fast food format. The food isn't made to order (unless you order everything a la cart) so there's no telling how long it's been sitting there. Stop complaining about freshness. You know what this is when you walk in. If you want fresh, then go to sushi zushi. This is just a cute fast food sushi joint. It has its niche.
