I’ve only ever had the breakfast tacos from this place and they are fantastic. Salsa is spicy and delicious. Very affordable and worth going back to. Tortillas are also fantastic.
I liked the shrimp quesadillas more than my wife did. I appreciated the larger chunks of shrimp (versus those rollie pollie, bug sized, popcorn crustaceans that are sometimes used in shrimp and cheese dishes) though they were not of Texas gulf origin (Bummer! They would really have been good.). The fresh avocado and sour cream was a nice touch along with the melty oaxaca cheese and crisp flour tortilla. After a Spanglish conversation with the waitress we ended up with beef...
I heard that this place served cabrito, which is goat. After reading all the good reviews I had to try it out.
I found the cabrito was like pulled pork meat drowned in red chillie sauce which took away from the natural cabrito flavor.
On a positive note, big tacos and the homemade tortillas were great, the tea was great and the atmosphere was comfortable as the seating area was small.
However, all that being said it didn't seem...
