Excellent Puerto Rican food..and it truly is the only option in the NW side and around medical center if you want to eat some authentic boricua food just like they do on the island

First time here, take out only because of Covid-19. Its #1 in SA closer to my home I don’t want to travel to East side for Puerto Rican food. They are very sweet and kind staff. I took 1 star out because I think they can serve faster, they made me wait a while but it’s still delicious. This food taste like my momma food and we New Jersey Rican!

Linda and the staff are amazing, like family that genuinely care, and the food is filling and out of this world. I recommend this place for friends and family.
Set on the corner of Wurzbach along a non descript area of stores lies this gem. After having eaten at more then a few Puerto Rican restaurants and food trucks between Austin and San Antonio that were at best average and at worst disappointing La Borinquena is the real deal. Authentic food that tastes just like the island my wife and daughter and I enjoyed some of the best food we had in a long time.
