Always my number one Mexican restaurant go to when in San Antonio!! Food is exceptional. Service is tiptop a little off the beaten path about seven minutes from downtown if you are staying at the Riverwalk. My all-time favorite patio is wonderful if you can get it. In the evening, it’s beautiful and the trees have twinkle lights.! Homemade chips and homemade salsa. Great job with a great team.!! Flan is the BEST I’ve ever had.Parking: Parking area is small and located in a residential type neighborhood. I definitely recommend reservations if possible they are very, very busy for good reason. we stayed downtown so it was a six minute Uber very very inexpensive

Great cocktails but we spent 100 dollars on an app, an entree and 4 drinks that we didn't finish because thee food was too spicy and there was no indication that their fajitas were going to be mouth burning spicy. I love heat but this was too much to not have an indication in the menu. We left hungry.

Date night, so we wanted a scenic, unique experience. La Fonda was recommended by a friend, and they did not disappoint. We made reservations, and once we arrived we were seated quickly at the expected time.Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the patio was incredible. My wife loved her cactus margarita. I chose the Tex Mex Deluxe and it was incredible. Lots of flavor for every part of the dish.We really liked that it was located in a neighborhood and not in some bland strip center like many restaurants in San Antonio.
