Have been back twice more. I like this place and the employees. I finally tried their tripas, extra crispy. Pretty damn good, considering what I remember them being like decades ago when I first tried them w my Nana. I also tried mollejas, which is like cow lymph nodes. Pretty tasty. Distinct flavor profile.
What I didn't eat, the tougher areas, I have to the dog and she loved it.
Finally tried them last weekend. By time I got there, 11am, they'd sold out of carnitas, did have menudo.
Kid-friendliness: Not really. Small seating area three tables.
Wheelchair accessibility: None. Have to go upstairs.

Love the barbacoa from this place ☺️ totally recommend this place to anyone who loves Big Red & Barbacoa 😮💨👏🏽🙂
I recently tried La Granja Barbacoa on 181 and was pleasantly surprised. I've been going to Larry's or Alamo Molino off 87 for barbacoa for a long time, but Larry's was closed this past weekend. La Granja Barbacoa has a clean and tidy interior, and their barbacoa and tamales are delicious.
We ordered the all-meat special, which included a pound of barbacoa, corn tortillas, beans, and a 2-liter of Big Red. We also added a dozen tamales for $41. Everything was excellent, and the tortillas were perfect.
I highly recommend La Granja Barbacoa for anyone looking for great barbacoa at a great price.

On this cool autumn morning, I ventured around the neighborhood in search of barbacoa for a friend. I’m glad I decided on La Granja. Their customer service is welcoming and leaves a great impression. It appears that it’s a few family members working the business and they gave the impression of being a close-knit group helping gladly. I am happy with my taco 😊- papa ranchera.
The Barbacoa was drowning in liquid lard, they gave a tamale to try and masa was raw. I will never go there again.

Very cozy feels like I’m at my grandmas vibe, food is sooo good☺️
Food was great but tacos were a bit pricey. $20 for 4 tacos, a soda, and a coffee seemed a bit high. They do have great prices on specials though.
