I have loved La Panadería all my life, but I’ve been left EXTREMELY disappointed when I ordered both their tres leches matcha and their Dubai chocolate Concha. First off, WHERES THE ACTUAL MATCHA? Last time I checked matcha is supposed to be a dark green, not white. Matcha should either be done right or not be made at all. It seems a bit ignorant towards the culture behind the green tea and how it is prepared for how this drink was served. Matcha isn’t just a trend, it’s a significant delicacy of East Asian culture. Now, their Dubai chocolate concha sounded amazing until I actually cut open the concha. Where’s the filling exactly? I don’t see any. Everything else was amazing as always, but I am disappointed on their take for these “trendy” snacks.

Our food was delicious ! This location needs a bit of a good cleaning though. It was a tad messy and the soda station needed refilling with condiments. The person at the register wasn't overly friendly.

i was using the toilet for 5min and there is a lady staff just keeping knocking on my door😭god forbid me for having a random diarrhea 😭 the other staff are fine tho. but now i’m traumatized for using public toilets ever again😭😭😭help

Well worth the wait!!! My fiancé doesn’t have an affinity for conchas, BUT she loved the red velvet Nutella and chocolate filled concha!!! The Mexican cubano sandwich was awesome, Mexican hot chocolate with no whipped cream was great, and the turkey avocado bowl was excellent! Being in line and waiting gives you time to process and choose what you want! Definitely worth coming back when visiting San Antonio!

Very cozy yet modern Mexican spot. The menu is small which makes it easy to order, the food is really good and very affordable. Their pastries are amazing! It’s hard to find sweet Mexican bread like theirs.
Update: 5 years after writing this review, I just want to say, their sweet bread just keeps getting better and better. Those darn conchas omg.
