So usually the meals are yummy here! But today me and my friend went here for lunch and the food was lacking! I had the El Mexicano, which is scramble eggs, tomatoes, jalapeños and onions! However, the jalapeños took over the plate! I usually love jalapeños if it's not too many!
My friend had a chicken sandwich that was very dry!
No worries though, I will give them another go!
We didn't get to go in lines were very long. All we wanted was to try their pan dulce. We asked a customer in the line and they said the line was for both to eat and order pan dulce. I guess I can try during the week.
La panadería has some of the best pan dulce, even better than what you can get in Mexico. However the ordering process is the worst possible combination of disjointed approaches possible. Since 95% of people are looking to sit down and eat just switch to a full service model.
All of the similar cafes in Mexico still sell pan dulce, they just bring a selection to your table. And the people that just want pan dulce can come in and out quickly.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the incredible staff at La Panadería! Your customer service is top-notch, and I can’t say enough about the delicious bread, the warm hospitality, and the bright smiles that greet you the moment you walk in. Orlando and Chino — you two are amazing! Because of you, we’ll definitely be coming back
Hands down, our favorite restaurant in San Antonio so far! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal from start to finish. Luis was incredibly helpful and friendly—he took the time to recommend some great options and suggested “El Pepito,” a mouthwatering steak sandwich that did not disappoint!
Luis was also very attentive throughout our visit, checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Alfonso also went above and beyond to make our experience even better—he was so welcoming and constantly made sure we had everything we needed.
From the warm atmosphere to the incredible food and top-notch service, La Panadería is a place we’ll be coming back to when we are back in San Antonio. Highly recommend!
Overall, the food is great. However, I was really disappointed in the service we received today.
The cashier was pretty rude, also got our order wrong. We ordered a tres leches matcha latte (almost the only reason we came here), and we ended up getting a plain matcha latte. I told the server, however he told me since the cashier had rung up a regular matcha late, they couldn’t exchange.
It’s unfortunate that a place this good, has poor customer service. Would make think twice about coming back, despite being a loyal customer over the last couple of years.
I hope this is a one time incident, and not a reflection of management, and the way this restaurant is run.
The workers aren’t the friendliest, but the food is absolutely amazing
Out favorite breakfast
Hello, good afternoon. We are from Wisconsin and we came to visit this wonderful city and we found such an exquisite place which offers such excellent delicacies. Highly recommended by our family. The food and the breads are a royal treat and the service is exceptional. Thank you very much. La Panaderia San Antonio, Tx. I would also like to give recognition to all the staff for providing an exceptional service and especially to Carlos Landa. Thank you for the magnificent experience. God bless you.

La atención que tenemos , todo está delicioso, gracias Srita. Jessica
Great place but I wish they allowed events to be held for baby showers, etc.
This place is great. Fast friendly service. Clean and well managed. The French toast was AWESOME had it with the cinnamon roll bread. My husband had the Al Pastor torta. Not very good taste more like chorizo than Al Pastor. They really need to fix the al pastor marinate sauce. Coffee and hamaica drink were good. Next time, we will try salad. They looked delicious. We also tried the tequila croissant, which was ok.
