It's totally worth the wait! Not a big bakery type, dude, but the selection and quality of the bakery was awesome. And I will never complain about mimosas, so it was a win-win for everyone involved. Great atmosphere and the food was increidble!

San Antonio institution and One bite and you will know why. The bakery is famous for proofing their dough for 48 hours and you can tell the difference. Fabulous selection of pastries, almost too many selections. We tried three and all of them were delectable. Breakfast selection is narrow with everything on bread, surprise. Their coffee makes up for it. It is delicious! Highly recommend a stop here to sugar up to combat the heat and humidity. ?
We skipped it in the evening as there was a very long line to get in... went for lunch the following morning and it was a surprise! The food was good, but it was the pastry that was really exceptional!

All hype for nothing. Waited 35 minutes on a line for mediocre food at best. The line makes this place so deceiving. I'll give the pastries an A but the other stuff I'd say save your money and go to a local dive where the food would probably be a lot better. I, being a latina thought the panaderia would sell some nice hot bread with delicious cafe con leche. Not the case here. Tell me a Mexican Gma or mother would make a watered down coffee is hard to believe.Literally, only go for the pastries and nothing else.Sorry Panaderia?

I found this place on line during a weekend trip to downtown San Antonio, and I’m so glad I did! We arrived around 9:15 and there was a long line outside. It took about 35 minutes to get into the restaurant and place our order.The homemade pastries at this place are amazing!We had a croissant stuffed with strawberries and vanilla cream along with our lattes, and it was outstanding! We also ordered the grilled chicken torta and the El Favorito breakfast sandwich, which were both very good. We chose a couple of additional pastries and the award winning almond croissants to go!Highly recommend this place!
Tremendous brunch and bakery. Had the Tequila French Toast with Eggs and Bacon, the Avocado Toast over easy. The pastries are awesome!

Breads are not bad but definitely not freshly made. I don’t understand why people want to spend hour waiting to get mediocre breads like this. Maybe I am too used to eat fresh-out-of-oven breads, but these breads did not impress me at all ?♀️
