Great coffee shop with lots of tables and outlets for students who are studying there. Love the coffee. This location frequently has students from the med center here.

Was my first time visiting the shop, and it was super nice and had a very calming atmosphere to be honest. Since it was my first time I asked for a recommendation, they recommended the White Chocolate cappuccino and the London Fog scone and they were honestly really good! I got one for my sister to try (since shes more of a tea fan to get her opinion on the scone). The coffee was super good and not overly bitter and the scone was sweeter than I was expecting so, again, a really good first impression of the cafe. Honestly loved that they had their own merch too and hopefully I will go back again when I have the opportunity!

Side note: this would honestly be a great place to do a study session for classes, exam season, or just get some extra work done. Keep in mind that’s its medical area so it can (and probably does) get busy quick. But still give them a try!

Austin is always so sweet and helpful! He is a huge part of why we love it here, as well as the AMAZING coffee and Italian hot pockets!

I always enjoy my coffee from Merit and it’s a great place to work/study. It’s clean, lots of seating, but the staff is hit or miss.

This last time, the man taking my order had his hat over his eyes and said the bare minimum (I heard him speaking normally with his coworker right before and after I approached the counter). It was weird; I tried not to laugh. I’m not someone who expects chatty, bubbly service but the interaction felt oddly hostile.

And that’s just how it is at Merit sometimes, ha!

I wanted to say your Barista Austin is a very lovely man. And was very kind and sweet. Had a nice café au lait as a worked nice atmosphere.

All Merit Coffee locations that I have been to have a great environment the staff is always friendly the one at this location the staff always remembers my name what does a plus for me since I've been going there for a while they don't have to ask me if I want it hot or iced anymore they always know that all my drinks are always ice and I like that about them for remembering even their new employees are always so friendly and the people that sit around me are always friendly as well the coffee shop is always clean and so is the restrooms

Great place to study! Barista in a cat shirt recommended the hibiscus iced tea and it was perfect.

I’ve always been a big fan of Merit. The coffee is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is truly one-of-a-kind — it’s been a go-to spot for me for years, despite the consistently frustrating parking situation.

But today, I left feeling genuinely disappointed and, honestly, disrespected. While I was sitting in the café, I saw another customer receive a matcha made with the new honeysuckle limeade. Intrigued, I went up and asked for the same — only to be met with a response that felt unnecessarily cold and dismissive.

The barista consulted her manager, who then came over and informed me — in a condescending tone — that while many people were ordering the same drink, they wouldn't make it for me. She said she would “bring it up to her boss,” and offered me a different drink instead. But here’s the thing: I had just seen someone else receive that exact drink. It was clear that it was possible — just apparently not for me.

That double standard stung. It felt like a slap in the face as a loyal customer. I don’t expect special treatment, but I do expect to be treated fairly — and today, I wasn’t.

Favorite coffee spot and honestly they have the best beans for espresso.

ANGELA is a rude person who doesn't know how to talk to people and how to provide service. I am also a business owner so I think you should take these comments into consideration. Employing such rude people in such a beautiful business can harm your business and if you ignore this, you can lose many customers. I am use to exceptional service at merit today was not one of those days.
