Stopped by to buy some bags of merit.
They happily grinded it for me which I appreciated.
But I just happend to go into HEB and found the exact same coffee for $9 cheaper.
I love merit coffee but this was disappointing!
Their drink prices did look very fair though!

Small place with good coffee. Great place to meet up and conveniently located.

I came in last week to work on some writing, and I was treated very rudely by the employee. Her demeanor quickly went from friendly to disturbing once she took notice of my patriotic shirt. She denied me my point and when I asked if I could get it she said no and gave me a sarcastic dirty look saying “sorry”. Not coming back here.

Man…where to start…Brendan. Brendan, a faithful regular, has served me today and again and again has served me when I’ve come in the past. It may at times be bringing my drink to me and sometimes simply with a smile and a “how you do’n pal”. I’m eternally grateful for the kind presence he brings to the merit experience.

Stumbled across this coffee shop waiting for my car at the dealership and what a delight. This is truly a coffee lovers dream shop. Coffee is the proper size and not just made into buckets. For instance the cappuccino is just 4 oz. I'm in love. Staff truly know their coffee and delight in assisting customers. Would highly recommend and wish I could make this my daily spot. If only it were closer!

Coffee drinks with milk (latte, cappuccino, etc) are good, but black coffee is sour and (to me) undrinkable. Service is also always slow. Merit is a good alternative to Starbucks, but be prepared to wait longer (even if you order online ahead of time)

I love this place. The ladies (and gentlemen) are beyond delightful.

I can make delicious coffee at home, but seeing these folk every morning sets me off for a great day. And their coffee is even more delicious than mine.

Merit Coffee is hands down the best place to work or study in San Antonio! The ambiance is perfect—cozy yet vibrant, making it easy to focus or just enjoy a good cup of coffee. They offer reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of charging outlets, which makes it a great spot for getting things done. But the real star here is the espresso! It's consistently the best I've found in San Antonio—rich, smooth, and always perfectly brewed. Highly recommend Merit Coffee if you're looking for a place that blends great vibes with even better coffee!

Very nice and friendly shop! If you buy coffee to make at home - there's a good variety of flavors to pick from. I had a sit-down coffee and it was very nice! Great environment and plenty of car watching/spotting!

This place is just super chill! Really quiet too cause everyone is working and has their headphones on. Been going only for a week and I look forward to being a regular now to enjoy an iced coffee after work. I’m a teacher so being able to relax after a day will be my essential at this place since they are located behind the school I work at.

Went with some friends the other day to get some coffee before the pool and the two girls working were so rude to us. My friend got and iced americano which was pure syrup. I got an iced matcha latte which had little to no matcha and essentially just tasted like oat milk but with a drop of green dye. My other friend also got a strawberry matcha which again tasted like milk with a drop of green dye. Neither tasted like matcha or strawberries. After paying more than I would at Starbucks for a matcha that comes out of a squeeze bottle accompanied with attitude we will not be coming back.

I'm not a huge café person but this place is fantastic. The business is clean and ran by a very professional manager. She stays on top of everything and treats everyone with so much respect. The knowledge of the barista's is incredible. This isn't your average coffee shop like Starbucks. This a place to try exotic flavors of coffee that shame places like dunkin with their watered down sugar "coffee". The staff truly have a passion for coffee and customer service. 10/10
