We used them not to long ago to cater a mixer event. They were very nice and the food was good. However, we paid over $2000 and not many people ate the food so there were tons of leftovers. We had previously told them to leave any leftover food and that none of the food would go to waste because we had so many students and workers that we could feed. They did not leave the food!! We paid over $2000 for 5 to 7 people to eat that evening. We paid for catering for 50 people. Why wouldn't you leave the food that we paid for, especially when we specifically asked you to???? So much money wasted on this catering company. What did we pay for if you can't even leave the food that we bought?

I contacted Doug and Carla about catering the visitation for the family of San Antonio Firefighter, Greg Garza only a few business days before and they were kind enough to do so. I know.... typically these types of things aren’t catered but I knew that the family, our SAFD Honor Guard, and our SAFD Family Assistance Committee would have an extremely long and emotional day. I wanted to make sure that they had delicious hot meal and sweet treats available to them. All I told Doug and Carla was that I wanted to have pastries and coffee set up for them when they arrived and a dinner of tamales, rice, beans, and tea during their break between the visitation and prayer vigil. They handled everything else. They spoke to the funeral director, checked out the space they’d set up prior to the day of the visitation, and got the details on where to bring everything in, etc. Everyone was so appreciative and raved about how delicious everything was. And there was PLENTY of food! (You won’t ha entire worry about skimpy portions with them! They will make sure everyone will leave with a full belly!) Thank you so much for taking care of this fallen brother’s family, and our fire family! You will not go wrong if you just go with Longhorn Catering!
