Well, I think I had a good Spanish lesson today. I am not a Spanish speaker so mi español es muy poquito and enough to get me by. I’m grateful that the girl at the counter was extremely patient with me and still understood my bad Spanish, ordering skills lol!
I ordered a couple tacos to go today. I love their tortillas, so fluffy! The carne guisada SMACKED!

I ordered enchiladas verdes plate and my enchiladas were extremely dry. They looked green but lacked sauce. The flour tortillas were good, taste homemade. Rice and beans were just okay.

Great tasting agua frescas. The food. So much better and welcoming then the texmex in San Antonio. They bring a green salsa to your table that helps bring up the spice levels to your plate and all hands 🙌 it was pretty good. Las tortillas de mais y arina. HoMe MADE!!!! I thought I was walking into a red zone…not sure what is going on in this place or what “type” of service they offer there but it is not in the food industry. I didn’t feel comfortable and decided to leave and thus was charged almost $10 for 2 iced teas. No happy ending at this spot…run.

It's such a shame that their servers are rude and just all-around not good at serving. I have been here multiple times, and the service was always below average even though the servers knew I was a regular. I was in the middle of talking to the server and about to give my order when she walked away, and I had to wait a while and had to ask if I could give my to-go order. I had to wait for a while to get my tacos and drank my iced tea while my tacos sat at the ready counter for a while. After I asked for a refill and they would not refill my drink even if I was willing to pay for a refill. The way they told me was rude and not helpful at all. What would it have cost the server to just refill my iced tea, especially since they had me wait so long. I'm so sad that the bad service won't have me going back, especially since I work close by and would be willing to go often for lunch and love to support local businesses. I really felt so unappreciated on multiple occasions, and this felt like the last straw. I won't be going back because of that unless my experience gets some how rectified.
