Okay so I asked Google for the best taco places in San Antonio and it gave me some long list so me and my girl decided on Taquitos which was ranked #1. We had the Asada tacos and Lengua tacos Both were excellent. Plenty of onions and cilantro and the meat was phenomenal. Ice cold Mexican cokes to wash it down were the perfect compliment. And did I mention how clean it was? I appreciate a clean restaurant and this place was definitely on point. Bought some caramel empanadas to go and they were amazing. And yes I bought an additional 10 tacos to go. They were so so good.

I don’t know why I haven’t written a review on them. I like to try new places but there are a few places I keep going to when I want “comfort” type food. I didn’t grow up eating Mexican or Tex Mex food so I’m no expert. However I know what I like. My friends who are native to San Antonio recommended this place. They warned me that it’s obnoxiously loud, bright and hot. I was thinking to my self. Hmmm you’re selling it. Not. When we got there, the parking lot was small but found parking on the side road. The line to order was out the door. There was loud Mexican music playing. I mean loud. I couldn’t really hear what my friends were saying. The led lights were bright. There is seating inside or outside. They have a simple menu and the food seems simple, but it’s packed with flavor. Add the roasted jalapeños and onions with radish and cucumber. Yum! It’s not a taco with western twist or seasoning or sauces. In all my travels around the world, I found the best meals have the simplest ingredients. This is true here. I’ve tried everything on their short menu. I love them all. I grew up eating food that we grew or caught and we ate just about every part of the “food.” I like that they have cheeks, tongue and intestines on the menu. They have pastor on only 3 or 4 days a week so when I go there on Friday I order that. My favorite is crispy Tripas. Do not order it to go. Eat it there. If you have to take it home, ask to put the tripas separate from the tortilla and sides. Heat it up in a pan so it stays crispy. I’ve tried tripas at other restaurants but this place has the best. The red sauce was spicy. The green sauce was less spicy. Definitely ask for onions and jalapeño especially if you like spicy. I can’t speak Spanish but I understand it. I was able to order without any issues. They were friendly, accurate and fast! Order your food, sit down and pay on your way out at the register. If you want a drink, someone will come to your table and get your drink for you. I’m sure you can pay before you sit but I’ve never done that. I highly recommend this place. Just go!

Concierge told us about this place. She said it is her favorite spot in San Antonio. Yes! Al Pastor is only available from Thursday to Sunday. Wife and I shared 5 al pastor, 5 bistek, and 2 cabeza, with 2 Mexican Cokes. Overall…Very good! Music is a bit loud for conversation. Food and service are excellent! Recommend!

I visited this restaurant because of the high ratings for street food tacos. First, I was surprised that the menu was displayed on the windows of the order and prep area, but no prices were displayed. I ordered the lingua tacos, but found them to be just ok. The usual richness of the meat was lacking. Furthermore, no tap water was offered as a substitute for ordered beverages. Last, and most disturbing, was that the main dining area was mopped with an ammonia solution creating an unpleasant atmosphere for the diners. I understand that a busy restaurant like this requires frequent cleaning even when customers are present, but perhaps the ammonia-based cleaning products can be deferred until the dining room is empty.

These are some of the best street tacos we have ever eaten. We had the pork and they were superb. We ordered 10 thinking that we could have some for later, but they were so good we ate them all. We will definitely go back.

Since moving to San ANtonio two years ago I have been searching for great tacos. with over 60% hispanic population there are plenty of "Mexican" places to eat. Unfortunately most are really Tex-Mex. Bu I can say that finally I found true Mexican flavors in San Antonio (I am sure there are more, just haven't discovered them yet). You can tell when a place is good when is continually packed. And people come to Taquitos West Avenue at all hours of the day. Now, if you want Tacos al Pastor they are only served for days, from Thursday to Sunday. They rest of the time they have other types of tacos. Service is fast and cordial. The flavor the tacos al pastor are genuine and great. They serve plenty of meat with each taco. They have all sort of mexican beers, aguas frescas and Mexican Coca Cola. And the prices are great making it an incredible value. If you are in San Antonio you need to stop and try them out. This is the closest thing to eating tacos al Pastor in Mexico city.

We had lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday at around 11:30. Glad we decided to go early. We were able to find parking on the property and the order line was not long. We tried every taco filling on the menu. All were very good. Meats were well seasoned, not salty or greasy. Corn tortillas were fresh. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. Staff took our beverage orders while we were waiting in line. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The dining areas were clean. This is the place to visit if you're looking for reasonably priced authentic Mexican tacos.

1st of all expect the line when ordering their food, But the wait is definitely worth it. Once at the service window you place an order and it's made fresh. The Al pastor tacos are excellent. The meat is cooked to perfection. The lime, cilantro, and onions Bring out the full flavor of these Mini tacos. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor sitting. These tacos are really good at a really good price.
