Luby's has been a family favorite for over 60 years, serving delicious food with generous portions. The menu offers a great balance of options, including spinach with a lot of flavor, chicken fried steak, liver and onions, almondine fish, sweet potatoes, and green beans. The food is always prepared well, with great choices for entrees, sides, and desserts. While the prices may have increased over the years, the taste remains the same. The atmosphere is busy but still personable, and the servers are very attentive. Going to Luby's is a nostalgic, heartwarming experience with good food at good prices. They also have a great deal on the kids meal, which comes with a choice of roll and Jello—filling but not overwhelming, all for under $10. Don't forget their sweet tea, and please remember to tip your servers.
