I highly recommend Lux Bakery!! Great work environment and very welcoming. San Antonio, don't forget to support your local business owners and they can service any company, even outside of Texas! Lux sells to grocers, distributors and school districts they have even perfected the art of mass production with the quality of personal care.

Lux is a co. That needs a lot of structure..When employees are not given BY LAW (2)15 MIN. BREAKS.. Low wages in a time when The labors are in demand. This place offers NO Financial Incentives (sign on bonus.). Starting pay else where at this time is at least 13-14$ hr. The cost of living is rising. So they hire temps. When they SHOULD JUST PAY EMPLOYEES MORE AND TREAT THEM BETTER.PRODUCTIVITY AND MORAL BOOST would really help things out.And The Management are so ignorant . A position with as such responsibility comes many things. Communication is 1st... Learning to communicate should be common sense. NOt Here. And the language barrier. If you don't speak SPANISH. , JUST FORGET IT. AUTOMATICLY DISLIKED. OH , no over Time, ONLY FOR UPPER MANAGMENT oNly!!.And if your liked..Im sure there is more but this for now..

I have just started working here recently and I have to say the working environment is Great!!! Staff conducts themselves very professionally and the work itself is admirable. Never worked in a Bakery shop but I have to admit this place makes the best Bake goods the market has to offer. I would like to thank Lux bakery for the opportunity to work there and for the commendable effort they put into fulfilling every employees employment with a positive experience.

Every company goes through trials and tribulations. Social media, and reviews have allowed for people to vent both negatively, and positively. While we are all entitled to free speech, we must remember the impact our words and actions will have. Not every person will be pleased, and not everyone will have something nice to say, and that is ok.

Real Facts

The so called new management came from the old Lux Bakery that was shut down for “reasons unknown”, probably ruined it with always taking cash and sweet bread home, plus mistreatment of employee’s. They don’t mention that on the news, how the owner and his son accuse employees of stealing and go nuts throwing things around. I happened to watch the news today and it brought back old terrifying memories. (I used to work at the Lux Bakery on Zarzamora, and have witnessed it.) Only because they’ve moved locations, doesn’t mean the owner and management has changed there ways, same exact people. Don’t worry about even applying there, “new management” is more interested in draining all the money it can get before claiming bankruptcy. Only people who can apply are temp agency’s who have gone through E-Verify. (Easier for them to fire you at the end without having to deny you unemployment). Your frowned upon for not speaking Spanish, and worked like a slave without breaks, just your 30 min lunch. Not to mention you don’t get to sit down at all and if you take just one restroom break, you get in trouble, can’t talk to anyone at all. It’s like Zombie land there. They might not even have the proper credentials to mass produce. How is it possible that the school nutrition/health department can even allow or accepted there products to get fed to children!!!!!!! Just one walk through in that facility, anyone can realize, there just winging it day by day. Working cluelessly.

Went there for a tour of the facility for a job. It smelled really good.
