We are visiting San Antonio with our church and was looking for a place for dinner. Mad Dog was in walking distance from our hotel. We started with scotch eggs which were fantastic! I had the shrimp tacos and my husband ordered the burger. Both were made to order and both were excellent! The tacos were so full of meat and fixings I couldn't finish them. I love bread pudding so I decided to try it. Irene didnt tell me it was a double portion! But it was soooo sooo good!! Irene our server was so wonderful and gave us great menu suggestions! Def 10/10!

To be fair, the Spurs playoff was on but this place was a madhouse. I was staying at the hotel next door and really wanted a salad. The Summer BERRY salad was just what I wanted so I walked over to get takeout. My salad and a bowl of soup were $30 and I tipped $8 because the poor barkeeper was slammed and everyone was loud, drunk and obnoxious. I asked for plasticware and was told they were out. So I’m eating this salad WITH NO BERRIES with the spoon from my coffee pack. The soup tasted good but was lukewarm at best. Overall, $40 for an incomplete salad, cold soup and not even a napkin, plus the whole “breasturant” concept is gross. 🙄 Overall, very meh.

The restaurants along the River Walk have a fantastic view but service is not the best. The staff is always friendly but the number of people must take a toll on them.

Great atmosphere with live music, food was tasty but they got one of our food orders wrong. Sat for about 10 minutes before anyone came around, I had to get drinks at the bar. Veronica was great once she started coming around. Beers were warm but good daily drink specials.

I hate writing a review when I didn't even eat here but...we came to eat at 11pm. the bouncer told my husband he couldn't let him in because he was too drunk. Ugh. He has a lazy eye since childhood. He let us in after explaining it but it was so uncomfortable to us after that, so we chose to just leave. I am sure the place is great but I just feel like the first impression was ruined for us. 😭

I was walking the Riverwalk and just followed the music and energy and ended up here. They had a party going, and even though I've been to clubs in NYC, Miami, Nashville and other places known for their clubs, the DJ here was one of the best I've heard. He controlled the mood well, cycling between songs at just the right time. I'd definitely recommend this place for a good, fun-filled atmosphere and night-long dancing!

Honestly the food was great but the service needs more attention. I normally don’t write reviews but this place needs better servers, don’t just hire skinny girls hire PROFESSIONALS who know how to serve.

Tried this ice cream spot after dinner and honestly enjoyed how simple and fresh everything tasted. The staff were friendly, portions were fair, and the flavors felt homemade. Definitely a nice little treat.

My friend got a glass of wine with lip prints all over it and took it back to the bar. They proceeded to wipe it off, refill it, and bring it to the table.
