I recently visited Mama’s Café and it was an easy 10/10! I came in not having the best day, but the customer service—both when I walked in and when I left—completely turned it around. Casey was wonderful and went above and beyond with her service. Since it was my first time here, I wasn’t sure what to order, but she recommended the daily special, the shrimp po’boy meal—and it was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the chocolate cake was the perfect finish. It literally melted in my mouth! This visit made my day so much better, and I’ll definitely be back soon to try the chicken fried steak. Highly recommend Mama’s Café for great food and even better service!

Well today, Mike and I went and had dinner he had the Smothered Porkchops, mashed potatoes and bacon greenbeans. Besides not having bacon in the greenbeans they were bland and not seasoned at all. Neither were the Porkchops. I myself had the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The potatoes like everything else was bland but adding Tabasco sauce helped a little. The service was good though, and the food normally is on point, but today we were let down.

Food , service were below average. Paid $60 for breakfast for two people. What a rip off. Never again.
Great cafe experience. The staff is very attentive, even to special requests. The food is really yummy. We enjoyed the fried mushrooms, the liver and onions, and the chicken fried steak. All were delicious. Haley was a great server, supported by an attentive team that kept drinks full and the table clear.

This was my second time here, I really love the Fried Green Tomatoes and Mushrooms, I couldn't wait to come back there and today I did, the food was great, very pleased however our waitress was very rude, at first when I left I said to myself I would never come back, but then I said to myself it wasn't the food it was the waitress, I should have said something to management but I left, when I got home I decided to write this review ( still upset) but I really should have told management my feeling how SHE did,I left my tip but the person I was with I didn't know that they just paid for there bill with exact amount, but she Slammed the bill in front of me, and when I got Her attention to ask her Why she Slammed the bill in front of me, because I knew I had tipped her, she replied, I just got one tip, to me that was not my call to pay the other person tip, I wasn't aware if there bill, I felt like I was being called out and that bothered me afterward, but I will continue to come there but I will remember Her, and request to sit in a different area,I could say more but I'm satisfied to get this off my chest.

I'm going here many, many years, and the meatloaf was astonishingly delicious.the bacon greenbeans, had no bacon in them.How weird and they didn't even taste like bacon. Waitress was very sweet, but way too chill. Got a couple of very minor things wrong, but it's like, uh, uh, okay.....And the arnold palmer is like five bucks and nonrefillable- weird.
